“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is an anime adaptation based on a manga written by Gotouge Koyoharu. The story is set in Taisho-era, and follows the battles between the protagonist Kamado Tanjirou and the demons. Using beautiful images, it features the life of the characters that risk their lives to battle against the demons, which are serious and harsh, but has something heart warming and ephemeral, and caused a huge sensation. Long awaited “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” was released on Oct. 16, and has recorded a total audience of over 3.42 million and a revenue of over 4.6 billion JPY on the three days since its release, both of which are the highest of all the movies that have been released nationwide. The record of each day is also the highest of weekdays, Saturday, and Sunday of all time.
