The second season of the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” is currently progressing with the “Experience the Shibuya Incident” project, a large-scale promotion in line with the broadcast of the Shibuya Incident. As the third promotion, a visual of Ryomen Sukuna from the Shibuya Incident Arc was released on October 31, a significant date for the series.

“Jujutsu Kaisen” is a dark fantasy based on the manga serialized by Akutami Gege in “Weekly Shonen Jump” since March 2018. The story depicts the battle between the curses born from negative emotions and the Jujutsu Sorcerers who exorcize them. The circulation of the manga has exceeded 80 million copies.

The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021, causing a massive impact not only in Japan but also internationally. In December 2021, the first movie adaptation, “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”, was released, creating a major movement with a box office revenue of 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season, which started in July 2023, depicts the story of Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru during their time at the Technical College in “Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu”, followed by the Shibuya Incident Arc following the timeline from the first season.

As the third installment of the “Experience the Shibuya Incident” project, a visual of Ryomen Sukuna from the Shibuya Incident was released on October 31, a significant date for the series. Unlike the key visual of the Shibuya Incident featuring numerous characters, this visual captures Ryomen Sukuna walking alone with an eerie presence in the deserted streets of Shibuya. Accompanying the visual, a video capturing the expressions of the characters fighting in the Shibuya Incident so far was also released, in line with the October 31 timeline at 7:00 PM as the Curtains come down.

Moreover, starting from 7:00 PM on the 31st, the “Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Shibuya Incident Commemorative Special Program” was broadcast on ABEMA’s “ABEMA Anime Channel 2”.
