■Ono Kensho, Ueda Rena and Mimori Suzuko lead … drain the ocean; African adventure journey.

“National Geographic”, a documentary channel, offers a wide variety of mystery programs on its “Saturday Mystery File” program. “Drain the Oceans 4″ (May 7~), narrated by Ono Kensho and Ueda Rena, and the special program “Wild Nature: Complete Guide to Africa!” (May 5~), narrated by Mimori Suzuko (May 5~), will be broadcast.

“Saturday Mystery File: Drain the Ocean” is a combination of underwater exploration and groundbreaking computer graphics technology to uncover the amazing truth hidden at the bottom of the ocean. Ono-san will be working on episodes 1 through 4 of the series. Ueda-san will narrate episodes 5 through 8 in Japanese.

Based on the most ambitious and up-to-date research by maritime archaeologists and others, rather than “imaginary pictures by experts”, the film uses state-of-the-art computer graphics technology to visualize the seafloor. The exhibition realistically recreates ships that have long been submerged at the bottom of the ocean, buried in sediment, and the wreckage of weapons, providing authentic evidence down to the smallest nail. By examining these precious underwater artifacts, the film will attempt to unravel the various mysteries surrounding this historically significant event.

And “Wild Nature: Complete Guide to Africa!” will air for the first time in Japan, “The Mysterious Continent of Africa”. The program visits three regions in Africa and introduces the nature and wildlife of these areas. The mysterious landscapes of the African continent and the severe challenges that await the animals born there. It is never easy to survive in the wild, even for carnivorous animals that are considered strong in the natural world. Mimori-san will tell the drama of the lives of the animals that survive in Africa with a realistic sense of their reality.

The first “Drain the Ocean 4” will be broadcast in Japan for the first time every Saturday from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM starting May 7 (Sat.). Special program “Wild Nature: Complete Guide of Africa!” will be broadcast on Thursdays from 8:00 PM to 9:55 PM from May 5th (Thu. Public Holiday) on cable TV and SKY PerfecTV! and other television stations nationwide.
