In commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the TV anime “Dr. STONE,” a special event titled “Dr. STONE: Stone Banquet” will be held at the Tokyo International Forum on August 11. The newly drawn event visuals have been unveiled for the first time. Detailed information has also been announced, revealing that an original cola “SENKU’S Cola” produced in collaboration with the craft cola maker “Iyoshi Cola” will be available for sale.
“Dr. STONE” is based on the manga serialized by Inagaki Riichiro and Boichi in “Weekly Shonen Jump,” depicting modern high school students like Ishigami Senku confronting a world of stone (Stone World) using science in a “craft adventure tale.” The original work ranked 2nd in the Comics category of the “Next Manga Awards 2018” and won the Shogakukan Manga Award in the Boys category, with a cumulative circulation of over 15 million copies.
The anime series premiered its first season in July 2019, followed by the second season in January 2021. In July 2022, a TV special titled “Dr. STONE: Ryusui” depicting episodes from the original work was also broadcast. The third season aired from April to June 2023, followed by the second cour starting in October of the same year and concluding in December. The production of the final season, “Dr. STONE: Science Future,” has also been announced.
The special event “Dr. STONE: Stone Banquet” is held in celebration of the 5th anniversary of the anime’s broadcast. The newly unveiled event visuals feature Senku and others wearing event T-shirts. Additionally, merchandise featuring newly drawn illustrations will be available for sale at the event venue and through advance sales. In collaboration with “Iyoshi Cola,” a pioneer in craft cola culture, the sale of the reproduced product “SENKU’S Cola,” featured in the series, has also been confirmed.
Furthermore, cast members Kobayashi Yusuke (as Ishigami Senku), Suzuki Ryota (as Nanami Ryusui), Sato Gen (as Chrome), Kawanishi Kengo (as Asagiri Gen), and Ono Kensho (as Saionji Ukyo) will be present at the event to perform a newly written original story created for the event.
In addition to the above, special screenings, a live performance by BURNOUT SYNDROMES, who performed the opening theme for the first season’s first cour and the TV special “Dr. STONE: Ryusui,” and a live performance by Ishizaki Huwie, who performed the opening theme for the first cour of the third season, will be held at the venue. Special exhibitions, including comment boards from a total of 25 cast members, will also be held.
