Netflix original anime series “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous”, which is a new crossover of “Jurassic Park” and “Jurassic World”, will be streamed exclusively worldwide on Sep. 18, 2020.
The appearances of Satou Gen, Uchida Maaya, Masuda Toshiki, and other voice actors have been announced as the Japanese dubbing cast, and their enthusiasm comments about participating in the “Jurassic” series have arrived.
“Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” is an anime and the latest installation in the “Jurassic Park” and “Jurassic World” series by Steven Spielbergs. The story is set on the same time axis as the movie “Jurassic World” (released on 2015).
Six boys and girls who visited the campsite “Camp Cretaceous” on Isla Nublar, which was also the setting in the past series, were left behind on the island due to unexpected trouble. They get isolated and are forced to face the assault from the dangerous dinosaurs.
Among the Japanese dubbing cast announced this time, Satou Gen will voice Darius, a shy boy that is very interested in dinosaur, Uchida Maaya as Brooklynn, a girl who is a famous SNS influencer, Masuda Toshiki will voice Kenji, reckless and rich boy who proclaimed himself as a boss.
Regarding the participation in the “Jurassic” series, Satou commented with a firm determination, “I'm honored as I never dreamed that I would be able to appear in such a historical work. I really want to do my best with all my power.” Uchida shared her happiness, “I'm glad I was able to participate in the world of this animation, where dinosaurs appeared. My heart has been pumping since the audition. I felt hyped just by listening to that music”, and Masuda said passionately, “I was nervous about how much I can do as an actor because it is known not only in Japan but all over the world.”
Regarding the highlights of this work, Uchida said, “If you watch it as an adult, it will remind you about your childhood. I think it is a more enjoyable work if you watch it with the child's heart inside you,” Masuda pointed on a wide range of potential viewers, “It is a work that both fans and people who just hear about can watch. Adults can enjoy it, and children can learn about the fear and preciousness of dinosaurs, and the growth of the protagonists can be enjoyed as well.”
Satou also pointed on the appeal of drama's elements, “Since it became an anime, it's more familiar, and the depiction of the dinosaur is delicate and realistic with a quality as if it really exists. It's a story about children's growth, so I hope you enjoy the drama about how to confront a dinosaur.”
Moreover, Minase Iku as Sammy, Nozomi Shoutarou as Ben, Kawai Yumeno as Yaz, Yamane Mai as Roxie, and Nakaya Kazuhiro as Dave will also appear as the Japanese dubbing cast. Check out the magnificent adventures of boys and girls played by talented voice actors.
