The Japanese dubbed version of the 3DCG anime film “The White Snake: Enchantress”, which was a historic hit in China, will be released in the summer of 2021, and the teaser PV and poster have been unveiled on the official website. The Japanese dubbed version will star Mimori Suzuko and Sakuma Daisuke (Snow Man).
The Chinese animation company “Caixi: Enki” and Warner Brothers have teamed up to produce a full 3DCG animation film about a “love that transcends a thousand years”.
A true love that overcomes the circumstances between humans and monsters, and the epic love story that transcends time, space, and previous lives has captivated the whole of China, and has grossed over 7 billion yen at the box office in China, recording the highest box office revenue of any domestic animated film for boys and above since 2017 (as of February 2019).
This time, along with the teaser PV and poster for the Japanese dubbed version, the cast information was also announced.
In addition to Mimori Suzukoi as Haku, a beautiful white snake demon, and Sakuma Daisuke (Snow Man) as Sen, a boy from the snake village. Yuuki Aoi will play the role of Nushi, the Lord of Hou Seibo, and Sakura Ayane will play Sei, the snake demon who loves Bai like an older sister.
The Japanese dubbed version of “White Snake” will be released in the summer of 2021.

MImori Suzukoi as Haku
I was so excited and nervous to play the role of Haku, the white snake in the title. It was my first time to see a Chinese animation, and I was overwhelmed by the high quality CG, beautiful pictures and music. The story, which is based on a legend, touched my heart, and I felt a pleasant aftertaste after watching it.
I was also surprised to hear that I was playing a double role with Sakuma-san. I had seen him on TV, so I was a bit nervous that it would be me, but since we had many scenes together, I was excited to see what kind of role he would play. I think this movie can be enjoyed from various aspects such as the story, animation, and the unique performances of the voice actors.
Sakuma Daisuke (Snow Man) as Sen
I was happy and surprised at the same time when I heard that I was going to be in the movie. I never thought that the day would come so soon that I would be able to play the lead role, so I was surprised out loud.
I was so surprised that I could not believe that the day would come so soon. I was really fired up. I thought it would be disrespectful to participate in the project with a sense of insecurity, so I decided to do my best to act in my own way and not to be overwhelmed by the idea of competing with my co-stars.
The CG animation is very beautiful and delicate, and you can feel the greatness of “love” in this work. I can say with confidence that this is an interesting work.
Sugita Tomokazu as Haramaki
I play the role of “Haramaki,” a dog who can talk. I played the role by remembering the dog I used to have and referring to its movements and breathing. I was happy to be cast in “White Snake” as I had been paying more attention to Chinese animation films after appearing in other Chinese productions. Sakuma-san’s sincerity in playing the role of Sen adds a lot of color to the film.
Yuuki Aoi as Houseibou no Nushi
This time I played a character with two faces, a fox and a daughter. I tried to create an image of a bewitching woman who lures her prey, only to have it eaten by a nasty demon. The beautiful, transparent Asian scenery and the cross-species love story will leave a lasting impression on you.
You can watch it alone, as a family, as a couple, or with friends. No matter who you are or with whom you watch it, I think you will enjoy it.
Sakura Ayane as Sei
This time, I played the role of the younger sister of the main character, Haku. This time, I think the word “love” is very appropriate for both Haku and Sei, as they are straightforward and clumsy girls with straightforward feelings for their sister.
I had the impression that it was a royal Chinese fantasy, and it was a beautiful world that was out of this world. Since I had little experience in dubbing, I was nervous and stretched my back, but I think I was able to relax a little and go into the recording with the voices of other people in the video.
