The first scene photos from WOWOW's original drama “Piple: AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita” (to be broadcast on May 18, 2020) starring the voice actor Kaji Yuuki have been released.
In addition, Tanaka Masayoshi, known for his works in “Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day” and “Your Name”, will be joining the staff team as the avatar designer, and his comments have also been received.

Based on the novel “Piple” by Harada Mariru, “Piple: AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita” is a sci-fi human comedy set in the near future of 2030 where humans are able to marry AI robots.
The story revolves around Tsumiki Kenichi, a salaryman who chooses to marry a humanoid AI robot called “Piple”. Through the interactions between the protagonist and the unique characters including his wife, “Piple”, and Miyama Kaede, AI researcher and creator of “Piple”, the story is centered on “how things work between AI and humans”.

The first scene photos are all from the first episode.
Along with the scene where Tsumiki activates the humanoid AI “Piple” and the shots featuring each of the three main cast members, the glimpse on the nature of the drama and its delicacy can also be seen from the scene where Tsumiki tries to kiss “Piple” and the scene where Tsumiki rides his bicycle along the Kamo River in Kyoto, the setting of this drama.
Expectations are high for the passionate performances of the cast, who bring the original story to life, including Kaji who plays the main character Tsumiki, a bachelor in his thirties.

Furthermore, it has been announced that Tanaka Masayoshi, known for his works in “Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day” and “Your Name”, will be in charge of the avatar design for the WEB radio broadcast by Tsumiki (played by Kaji).

Besides his core business in medical equipment, after returning home, Tsumiki enjoys most of his time working as a host for a WEB radio show. The avatar in question is displayed on the tablet during the radio broadcast.
Tanaka was also in charge of the cover illustration of the original light novel “Piple”, which led to this offer. The characters created by such a popular designer will also become one of the highlights of this work.

The WOWOW's original drama “Piple: AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita” will begin airing on WOWOW Prime on May 18, 2020.
The first two episodes (eight in total) will be broadcast in succession, and only episode 1 will be aired for free.
