From “Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie” (Premiere on December 24), it was announced that Hanazawa Kana is the voice of Okkotsu’s childhood friend, Orimoto Rika with the release of her comments.

TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” is based on same-name manga by Akutami Gege that is currently being serialized on Shueisha’s “Weekly Shounen Jump”. This series with a total of 17 volumes and 55 million copies in circulation started in March 2018, and it depicts the battle between the cursed energy user, Jujutsu Sorcerers, and the curses that were born from the human negative emotion.
The first film of this series, which will premiere on December 24, 2021, is the film adaptation of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”, the prequel of “Jujutsu Kaisen”.

It was announced that the childhood friend of the main lead Okkotsu Yuuta (voiced by Ogata Megumi) and the spirit that possessed him, Orimoto Rika, is voiced by Hanazawa Kana.
Orimoto Rika made a promise when she was a child to get married to Okkotsu Yuuta, but she passed away from a traffic accident right in front of Okkotsu. After that, Rika became a “Special-Grade Spirit” that possessed Okkotsu, and she overreacts against those who are considered a threat to Okkotsu and won’t hold back to take sanctions against them with her tremendous power.

I started reading the manga and watching the anime when I decided to take the audition, but I had also become a big fan of the work just as many others.
As I am handling both the voice of Rika when she is a child and a spirit, I will do my best during the recording with the feelings toward Yuuta-kun. Also, I am looking forward to it since I am able to interact with my favourite Ogata Megumi-san.
