The main trailer for “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” (will be released on April 23, 2021) has been released.
“Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter” is based on the final episode of the original work “Jinchu Arc”, which depicts the ultimate climax with Enishi, and “The Beginning” that depicts Kenshin’s past that closes in on the
“The Final” started off with a situation, where several Tokyo’s residents were attacked by someone. After several dearest people were attacked, the one that appeared in front of Kenshin is the mysterious guy with the cross-wound on the cheek, Yukishiro Enishi. The objective of that guy is to destroy everything that Kenshin holds dears of as well as the new era that was created by him.
After finding out the mastermind, Kenshin confessed about his past that “he killed his own wife” to his comrades…
ONE OK ROCK, who had handled all the theme songs of “Rurouni Kenshin” series, wrote an original song “Renegades” for this film.
The vocalist Taka commented, “ONE OK ROCK has advanced together with the film ‘Rurouni Kenshin’. That’s why we have gone all out for in the production of the theme song this time. We had done that with the purpose of having this film to continue down the Japanese film world as well as striving for a new level as ONE OK ROCK. Please look forward to ‘Rurouni Kenshin: The Final’ along with the theme song ‘Renegades’.”.
“Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” will be released on April 23, 2021, while “Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning” will be released on June 4.
Also, to thank the continuous support from the fans for 10 years, the release commemoration online event “With gratitude, the Online Event ‘Rurouni Kenshin’ Global Fan Session” will be held on March 24.
