The comic “Bakemonogatari” will finally conclude with the 15th issue of “Weekly Shonen Magazine,” released on March 15, 2023. To express gratitude for fans’ continuous support for five years, the magazine will feature three projects, including a cosplay pin-up by Enako, presents for fans, and a feature in which readers could take a peek at the special letter by Nishio Ishin and Oh!Great.

“Bakemonogatari” is based on the “Monogatari” series, a novel series written by Nishio Ishin and published by Kodansha in 2006. The series depicts a mysterious story about the main character, Araragi Koyomi, and girls involved in “Kaii” (supernatural problems.) The comic, illustrated by Oh!Great known for “Air Gear,” began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2018. The series has been serialized for five years, with 20 volumes published as of January 2023.

In the 15th issue of “Weekly Shonen Magazine,” which finally marks the conclusion of “Bakemonogatari,” cosplayer Enako celebrates the finale by transforming herself into beautiful and mysterious heroines such as Senjogahara Hitagi, Hanekawa Tsubasa, and Oshino Shinobu. The project title is “Light and Shadow,” perfectly reproducing the mysterious world of “Bakemonogatari,” a story about supernatural beings.

The magazine will also give away an original reproduction of the color illustration of the opening page of this issue and a clear file folder of the cover illustration. Fans can enter the campaign with the ticket attached to the 15th issue of “Weekly Shonen Magazine.” In addition, part of a letter between the comic author, Nishio Ishin, and the comic illustrator, Oh!Great, which will be included in the special edition of the final 22nd volume, to be released on May 17, will also be specially published ahead of time.

The 15th issue of “Weekly Shonen Magazine,” in which the comic “Bakemonogatari” comes to its conclusion, will be on sale from March 15, 2023. The comic app “Magapoke” is also running two projects celebrating the ending, and there is also an entry project on Twitter where fans can win original reproductions of popular scenes.
