The cosplayer Enako’s first “non-cosplay” photobook called “OFF COSTUME” has taken 1st place in the “Photobook” genre of “Oricon Weekly BOOK Ranking” for the week of October 4, 2021. The reprints have also been decided 5 days after the release. Toward these results, the joyful comments from Enako have been released together with the precious candid shots.

Enako is “Japan Number One Cosplay” and she is active on TV, online, radio, magazine, etc. Not only was she featured on the cover of the magazine, but she has also made a guest appearance on popular variety shows and dramas. Other than that, she was appointed as the Cool Japan Ambassador by the Cabinet Office in April 2020, which expand her scope of activity.

The photos of “OFF COSTUME” were taken by the top photographer Nakamura Kazutaka, and it is the first “non-cosplay” photobook of Enako. In the state of little makeup, the daring photos of her at the hotel’s bed and bathroom, and the night pool have become a hot topic when it was released, which shows that this photobook was gathered a lot of attention before the release.

After founding out that Enako’s first “non-cosplay” photobook has taken the first place in “Oricon” and the reprints have been decided, she commented joyfully that “It makes me so happy that there are so many people who accept me just the way I am!” followed with “To those who haven’t seen it yet, please consider on buying it!”.

Enako’s photobook “OFF COSTUME” is priced at 2,420 JPY (tax included). The novelty for the regular edition is one random postcard from the 5 designs.

Enako

This a new challenge for me as this is my first photobook without the usage of my charms, which is cosplay, but I can’t believe that it has taken 1st place in Oricon and the reprinted issue has been decided. It makes me so happy that there are so many people who accept me just the way I am!
To those who haven’t seen it yet, please consider buying it!
