On July 3 and 4, TRIGGER, the group of 3 singers from “Idolish Seven” held the first solo online live called “TRIGGER LIVE CROSS ‘VALIANT’” to celebrate release of their second album, “VARIANT”. This article will deliver the excitement from Day 1 and Day 2.

The concert began with the intro of “The dawn~ Sword of VARIANT~” and monochrome background inspired by Europe in the Middle Age. The 3 shadows gradually became evident. Many audience was certainly excited toward the upcoming excitement and passion.

The 3 members of TRIGGER finally appeared on the stage. They held the swords in their hands, and their outfit from the album jacket was as of the noble knights.
The opening song was “VARIANT”, the leading track of their 2nd album. They handsomely performed the song, with dark atmosphere of the club music, with fighting performance. No doubt that all audience were taken into the world of TRIGGER just as the lyrics “Shinsekai he Yokoso (lit. Welcome to the new world)”.

After the first talk session, each actor began to turn around to show the design of the outfit, and the conversation related to this was fun to listen. They wore different outfits for day 1 and 2, so please check it out.

The songs performed after this was those continued to support their activity. “DIAMOND FUSION” is the debut song for TRIGGER. The music video on the screen and the actual dance on the stage matched perfectly and beautifully. Following “Leopard Eyes” is the song used for the competition with IDOLiSH 7 at BLACK or WHITE. This song is one of the most popular songs due to its sexiness. The performance unique to the online live, including AR direction, was the great point of this event.
The performance is continued with the song related to part 3 of the app, which brought the worst hardship to TRIGGER. The detail of the story will be shown in the TV anime “Idolish Seven Third Beat!” (scheduled to be broadcast from July 4).

The song started with a gunfire was “Crescent rise”. This is the theme song for the musical “Crescent Wolf”, in which TRIGGER plays the main role. The fantastic stage with various colors charmed the audience.
“It’s my honor to be on the same stage with you, with the same sense of justice” is the impressive line of the song and seemed to imply the true feeling of TRIGGER.

The content after will be changed between Day 1 and 2. In Day 1, “My Precious World” was performed with the outfit inspired with “Dance Macabre”, while the same song was performed with the outfit inspired by “Last Dimension ~Who will Pull the Trigger? ~”, the musical from the content. All 3 actors sung nobly with the outfit provided.

Next music was introduced by the pianist Kishida Yuuki, with his special arrangement. The first song “DESTINY” is the ending theme song for “TRIGGER -before The Radiant Glory-“, the episode that depicted the beginning of TRIGGER. If you had paid close attention, you probably noticed that the performance from the anime was used here. Following “Bara Tsuyu” is a love ballad recorded newly for the album. A stable pitch was required to match with the piano.

Right after the quiet flow, the songs were performed with a great momentum. After the piano changed its pitch fiercely, the trained flag performance was held. With the additional participation of the plus session changed the stage into the dance floor. “Treasure!” was the song to fit the best for such performance. Sexy performance with the microphone stands will not let the audience to have their eyes off. Without rest, “SECRET NIGHT”, “NATSU☆Siyouze!”, and “Heavenly Visitor” were performed and they progressed toward the climax with full speed.

As the end approached, Tenn commented, “I hope to see you at the actual stage”, Raku followed, “We can meet again for sure”, and Ryuunosuke summarized, “We will continue to sing until the day comes”, as they all hear the voice of the audience to regret the end.

The last song “DAYBREAK INTERLUDE” was performed with all performers appeared on this live. As the lyric “We are TRIGGER” said, the performance with unity even heated up the stage.

TRIGGER’s 2nd album “VARIANT” (released on June 23) was the new challenge for them. This online concert was one of their new attempts. Shooting and AR technologies were the choices allowed for the streaming, so please enjoy those directions as well.
“TRIGGER LIVE CROSS ‘VALIANT’” archive can be watched until one week after the performance. Please support them for both 2 days.
