From the TV anime “Kingdom”, the synopsis and the advance cutscene of episode 1 “The Encroaching Coalition Army” that was broadcast on April 4, 2021 (Sun) has been released.
“Kingdom” is based on the manga about the Chinese Warring States period by Hara Yasuhisa serialized in “Weekly Young Jump”.
Set in China during the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, it depicts the life of a boy, Shin, who aims to become a general of the world, and a young king, Ying Zheng, who later became the first emperor.
Season 1 of the TV anime had been aired on NHK BS Premium from June 2012 to February 2013, and season 2 was broadcast from June 2013 to March 2014. Season 3, which visualized the “Joint Army Arc”, which is said to be the biggest battle in the history of “Kingdom”, started in April 2020, but the broadcast was postponed after episode 5. From April 4, 2021, the broadcast restarted from episode 1
