The teaser of “Edens Zero” (slated to start on April 10, 2021) has been released. You can hear the voices of Shiki (voiced by Terashima Takuma), Rebecca (voiced by Komatsu Mikako), and Happy (voiced by Kugimiya Rie).
“Edens Zero” is originally a space fantasy manga serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” since 2018, by Mashima Hiro, the manga artist of “Fairy Tail”, which has over 70 million copies in circulation.
“Shiki”, the only human on Granbell, was brought up by machines. He meets a girl called “Rebecca” and together they go on an adventure in search of “Mother”, who exists somewhere in the universe and grants people their wishes.
This teaser is the first time “Edens Zero” is depicted in moving images.
Just like in the original manga, it starts with Shiki as a child, looking up to see a comet with two shadows. You can also see Rebecca, who aims to become a top streamer, and her partner Happy enjoying filming with the machines on Granbell, and the scene where Shiki begs Rebbeca to “be my ‘friend'” with an overwhelmingly intense expression on his face.
“Edens Zero” will be broadcast on Nippon TV and other channels from 00:55 a.m. on April 11.
