Okamoto Nobuhiko, a voice actor known for his roles as Bakugo Katsuki in the TV anime “My Hero Academia” and Nishinoya Yu in “Haikyuu!” and as Accelerator in “A Certain Magical Index”, will release his long-awaited photo book “Okamoto Nobuhiko Photo Book (tentative)” on April 1, 2023.

The ” Okamoto Nobuhiko Photo Book (tentative)” is set on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, in winter. Okamoto himself chose the popular photographer MARCO to shoot the photos under the theme of “a brief adult rest”.

They toured Ishigaki Island’s unique sightseeing spots such as majestic limestone caves, coconut groves, and colorful flowers, enjoying the mild weather and relaxing time in an old house with an Okinawan vibe. When he encountered squirrel monkeys, he forgot about the camera and had a big smile on his face. On Taketomi Island, next to Ishigaki Island, a perfect location with its crystal clear sea and white sandy beaches, Okamoto forgot about the hustle and bustle of daily life and successfully captured a more natural side of himself than ever before.

On the other hand, at the resort hotel JUSANDI, which Okamoto himself requested as a shooting location, he shows off his fresh physical beauty in the pool. The images also includes glimpses of Okamoto, now 36 years old, in his more mature side, such as his ennui face on the private beach and his stylish side in a chic suit in the night scene.

In the interview, Okamoto not only talks about his career to date as a voice actor, but also candidly confesses his thoughts and feelings since he launched his own voice actor agency, Raccoon Dog, and became its president last year, as well as where he is now as a man. The interview is full of highlights including Okamoto’s thoughts as well as the photographs that were taken.

The “Okamoto Nobuhiko Photo Book (tentative)” will be released on April 1 at a price of 3,850 JPY. Also, on April 16, a release commemorative event will be held to which a total of 400 people will be invited by drawing from those who purchased the “Animate/Gamers Limited Set with Making-of DVD”.

Okamoto Nobuhiko

I am now 36 years old, rounding it up almost 40 years old, and I see the release of this photobook as an act of superstition. The photo shoot was on Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island in Okinawa, and we were blessed with good weather and spent three intense days there. Photographer MARCO has brought out mature situations and expressions that have not been in my images before. We are planning to hold an event to commemorate the release of the book, so I hope many people will check out the book.
