Umeda Shuichiro (Saybil)

-Impressions of the film
It was love at first sight for Ross and Holt!
After meeting Ross, my sexual proclivities have increased by one.
Also! I really like the relationship between Saybil and Holt. Saybil can’t express his emotions very well, but Holt has a lot of emotions, and I want to keep watching over them. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they interact in the anime. It’s always exciting to see a new work that carries on the world view! If you’re familiar with the previous work, you’ll be like…! I love that feeling.

-What is your impression of the character you are going to play and how do you feel about the role?
When I first saw Saybil, I was impressed by his facial expressions. You can’t judge a person by their appearance, but I believe that the inside of a person can be seen in their facial expressions, so I was naturally curious about him. Now that I’ve read the story, he’s a lovable character.

Saybil doesn’t know much about himself or the people around him. I would like to play him as a character who gradually changes as he spends time with Ross, Holt and Kudo. I’ll also do my best to make sure that I’m able to show off Saybil when the time comes!

Okasaki Miho (Loux Krystas)

-What is your impression of this work?
The character designs are cute and there are many comical scenes, but each character is really cool. I can feel the aspirations, joys, and sometimes pains from every character’s point of view. I was so emotionally involved in the story that I read it all at once.
It’s a story about a world with magic and witchcraft, but I thought it was like a textbook where you can learn the importance of relationships between people and how to relate and open your heart through the main character, Saybil.

-What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
She looks so cute! And super strong! What I like most about her is that she is loving. I’m attracted to the way she leads her students with her unshakable love, even though she says it’s just from boredom. Her cool face that she shows in battle, her crazy face that she shows in gag scenes, her intelligence and capacity as a teacher, and the gap between her 300 years of age and her skinny body are also attractive.
I’ll do my best to play her richly and freely so that my partner will recognize me as well. Flap your wings, my dear little birds!

Suzushiro Sayumi (Holt)

-What is your impression of this work?
The story as a whole is interesting, and the more I read, the more I was attracted to the characters, and the more I wondered how they would grow up…! I was also able to look at “Grimoire of Zero” before I was asked to play the role, and I was excited to be able to be involved in this work as a fan as well as chewing on the joy of being involved in the anime.

-What is your impression of the character you will be playing and how do you feel about the role?
When I first saw Holt-chan, I had the impression that she was cheerful and smiling, and that just by being around her, people would become more cheerful. However, as I continued reading, I learned that her cheerfulness and smile had a meaning, which made me love her even more. I will do my best to bring you the best of Holt-chan’s charm in the anime, so please give me your support!

Yashiro Taku (as Kudo)

-What is your impression of this work?
I was very moved by the worldview of magic as a major keyword, the justice hidden within it, the conflicts between different races, and the deepening relationships. In addition to the deep storyline, there are also some pop scenes that make me feel relieved, which is my favorite element.

-What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
Kudo is a character with a strong sense of justice and is honest about his feelings. However he is clumsy in expressing them to others, which I feel is part of his charm. He also has a big complex from the past, but I think that is what gives him his purpose in life now. I am happy to be able to play this role, and I will do my best.

Author: Kobashiri Kakeru

I had a vague dream that “if I could make one more anime in my life, I would have nothing left to regret.”
When I received the character design for Ross from the illustrator, Iwasaki-san, I remember thinking, “This character would be so cute if he could move and talk.”
However, when it was decided to make it into an anime, I thought, “Isn’t there too much fluttering to make it work in an anime? Are you sure? Won’t the animators die?” I’m just shaking with anxiety, but I’m looking forward to the broadcast!

Original illustrator: Iwasaki Takashi

“The Dawn of the Witch” is going to be an anime!
When I took over from Shizuma-san, the author of “Grimoire of Zero,” there were parts of me that wondered if we could do it, but we’ve managed to get this far.
Everything we’ve done has been thanks to the efforts of the people in charge, Tatsuo, and the people involved, and most of all, thanks to the fans.
Thank you very much.
I’m very happy and relieved at the same time.
It was a strange feeling to participate in the world of “Grimoire of Zero” as a comicalization artist and “The Dawn of the Witch” as an original illustrator, but I feel very fortunate to be involved in Kobashiri’s work.
Please keep an eye out for the moving and talking Ross and his friends! Yay for anime!!!

Comicalization: Tatsuo

The day I heard that the anime adaptation had almost been decided, I was so thrilled and excited that I could hardly sleep.
I can see Ross in an animation! It’s amazing that Dr. Ross, who is so hard to draw in manga, can move and talk.
The way Kudo’s scales change color will also look great in an animation!
The characters, the worldview, and the story are all very appealing, so as a comicalizer and fan of the original work, I’m really looking forward to seeing what Saybil and his friends will do in the anime!
