It was announced that season 3 of “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” is scheduled for April 2022. Along with the announcement, the teaser PV for season 3 “Ishigami Yuu want to talk” and the teaser visual with Shinomiya Kaguya, Shirogane Miyuki, and the other student council members have been released.

This work is a romance comedy that is currently being serialized on Shueisha’s “Weekly Young Jump” and the series has a total of 16.5 million copies in circulation with a TV anime adaptation and live-action movie in 2019.
The 3rd season titled “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic-” will finally feature the greatest development of the romance mental warfare of Shinomiya Kaguya and Shirogane Miyuki.

The revealed teaser PV for season 3 “Ishigami Yuu want to talk” is the historical first 9 minute and 50 seconds long trailer while the teaser visual depicts the 5 student council members.

Also, the interview with Koga Aoi (voice of Shinomiya Kaguya) and Furukawa Makoto (voice of Shirogane Miyuki) has been released. So, do check it out while looking forward to the ultra romantic developments in season 3 .

■ As the title of season 3 is “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic-“, what are your first thoughts on it?

Koga:
I was quite shocked as I can’t believe that “Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen” was omitted from the title! (Haha)
*The Japanese title for season 3 is “Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Ultra Romantic” while the previous title for season 2 “Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai?: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen”

At the same time, I also felt nervous and excited as I believe “that scene” will be coming. After the story in season 1 and season, I can’t wait to see how the story will unfold in season 3 as well as the changes (if any) between Kaguya and other members of Shuchiin Academy.
I believe that season 3 will be slightly different from the previous season, so do look forward to it!

Furukawa:
“Ultra Romantic”. Is this just a word play between ultra and romantic, or is it hinting at the upcoming sensational developments? You have to check it out yourselves to find the answer.
I will do my best in season 3 as well.

■ After seasons 1 and 2, which aspects do you want to focus in season 3?

Koga:
Of course, I will continue to put my utmost efforts into season 3 as well, but I believe various popular episodes among the original work fans will be depicted in season 3, so I planned to re-read the original work to understand in detail the character’s feelings.
As Kaguya had supported others a lot in season 2 as a senior, I will cherish her further growth and action in season 3 by using those experiences in season 2.

Furukawa:
I planned to re-read all the stories from scratch, even those that were not depicted in the anime, while preparing for the upcoming episodes. Just like previous season, I will take on the big challenge together with Shirogane as well.
