August 19 is “World Photography Day”.

It was established as a photographic process called Daguerreotype was used on the same day in 1839. It dramatically shortened the required exposure time and contributed greatly to develop a portrait.

More and more voice actors/actresses have recently been publishing their own photo books. Photo books contain a lot of attractions such as natural behind-the-scene photos, and part of their private life.

Therefore, Anime!Anime! conducted a reader survey titled “Which voice actor/actress would you like to release a “photo book”?”. During the survey period from August 5 -12, a total of 586 responses were received. For the gender ratio, the females were the majority with about 90% while the males were about 10%. For the age distribution, we received the majority of responses from the young readers: about 30% were from teens, and 40% were from those in their 20s.

In this article, we will introduce the results for the Voice Actress Ver.

■Voice actresses that are also active as artists have ranked in!

1st Place

1st place went to Uchida Maaya-san. The support rating was about 17%.

Even though she has released a few photo books so far, the readers want to see a photo book that features her character shown in variety programs, saying, “That is because I want a new one that is filled with her shrewd cuteness” and “I want Maaya-chan to release a ‘shrewd but cute’ photo book. This would surely be cute!”.

Some readers said that they wanted to have her as a fashion inspiration, saying “Maaya-chan’s potential is so fascinating that she looks good in any outfit or hairstyle. I would like to see her variety of aspects” and “Her outfit is always cute, so I hope she released something like a style book”.

2nd Place

2nd place went to Minase Inori-san. The support rating was about 6%.

The readers eagerly desire her first photo book, saying “Ino-rin has not only been active as a voice actress but also as an artist for years. She has not released a photo book yet, so I want to see her marking another step!”, and “She has just been featured on the front cover of a magazine specializes in voice actors/actresses! I would like to see her amazing appearance in a photo book”.

3rd Place

3rd place went to Hanazawa Kana-san. The support rating was about 5%.

Hanazawa-san has released multiple photo books so far as well, the fans are still victims to her charms. The received comments include, “Hanazawa-san looks happy when she smells her favorite food, bread. That’s so heart-warming” and “Her soothing voice and smile make me happy”.
“Moonlight Magic”, her 1st single after she moved to the current label, will be released on September 29. Some readers are looking forward to a photo set that comes with the single as a bonus. (*Canime Limited Edition / International Edition)

In the results for the Voice Actress Ver., those who are active in a variety of genres have ranked in. Just as the Voice Actor Ver., the
ranking includes some voice actresses that already released a photo book in the past.
