March 10 is Sugar Day.

It was established because of the word play of Sa (3) and Tou (10) (Satou means Sugar in Japanese).

Although sugar is very sweet, anime characters with “sweet voices” that melt your heart are very popular in anime. Everyone decides which voice they consider to be “sweet”. Who are the voice actresses with the “sweetest voice” according to anime fans?

Here at Anime!Anime!, we conducted a reader survey for the first time in two years, entitled “Who comes to mind when you think of voice actresses with a “sweet voice”?” We received responses from 215 people during the survey period from February 19 to February 26.
The male-female ratio is about 20% for males and about 80% for females. About 40% of the age group were teens, and about 40% were in their 20s.

In this article, we will announce the results of the voice actresses edition.

1st place goes to Hanazawa Kana with an approval rating of about 12%.

Readers commented, “Sweet, cute, girlish voice… I really admire her! And I’m happy that recently she often appears on various TV programs such as variety shows.”, and “It’s not a sexy sweetness, but a soft sweetness like cotton candy.”.
Many readers also pointed out on characters, which touched their hearts, “Of course, her natural voice is cute, but especially its sweetness matches to the cuteness of Kanroji Mitsuri from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is cute. Her love for sakura mochi is also cute.”, and “I like sweet words of Matsuzaka Satou from ‘Happy Sugar Life’.”

2nd place
2nd place goes to Satomi Satou with an approval rating of about 8%.

Readers commented, “Her whispering full of healing aura is the best!”, “Her voice performance of light characters feels sweet”, and “I feel ready to melt when I hear her gentle voice”.
Some fans pointed out the nickname as a reason for voting, “Satomi-san is Angel of Voice. Since her nickname “Shugar” and she is sweet, and I think she exactly fits for this ranking.”

3rd place
3rd place goes to Sawashiro Miyuki with an approval rating of about 7%.

She is popular not only for anime but also for other media activities, “Sawashiro-san with the voice sex appeal of an adult is the one”, and “Sawashiro-san’s news narration makes me happy through my ears”. Some comments were about her memorable performance of Mine Fujiko from “Lupin III”, “She played Fujiko-chan after all!”

As a result of the voice actresses edition, the actresses who have played a wide range of sweet characters, such as sexy and cute, are ranked in. The reasons for voting were also noticeable, such as playing the character with the name “Sato” (Jap. Sugar) or have a name “Sato”.
