TV Anime “Higurashi: When They Cry – Sotsu”, one of the titles released in the summer of 2021, will start broadcasting on July 1. Also, it has been announced that “Cotton Drifting 2021 Higurashi Challenge” will be held on June 20, and that the museum featuring the title is scheduled. “Higurashi: When They Cry – Sotsu” will be released, with the first two episodes in a row, on July 1, 2021.

“Higurashi When They Cry” (a.k.a. Higurashi) is based on a horror mystery novel game developed by Ryukishi07/07th Expansion. The story depicts a strange event that occurs in the rural village of Hinamizawa in the early summer of 1983.

Ahead of the release, a project titled “Cotton Drifting 2021 Higurashi Challenge” will be held on June 20. Nico Nico Live and ABEMA will distribute “Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou” in one stroke, and a special program will also be streamed, featuring Nakahara Mai, Kanai Mika, and Ito Miki.

Moreover, the goods of “‘Higurashi When They Cry’ Museum”, which will be held from June 19 for a limited period, have also been shown. The lineup consists of “Acrylic Stand”, “Clear Folder”, “Tapestry”, etc., with a newly drawn illustration, featuring Rena, Mion, Satoko, and Rika in Yukata.
