The 2nd key visual and promo video of the anime “Record of Ragnarok” have been released. Additional cast members including Kobayashi Yuu were also announced.
“Record of Ragnarok” is originally a manga serialized in “Monthly Comic Zenon from 2018, with a total of over 6 million copies in circulation.
The story depicts 13 one-on-one battles between the gods and humans, which will determine the survival of the human race.
In the newly released 2nd key visual, Brunhild and Göll, who struggle for the future of humanity, are featured in the center.
Surrounding them are, Lü Bu and Thor at the top, Adam and Zeus in the center, and Sasaki Kojirou and Poseidon at the bottom.
In the 2nd promo video, the intense battle of the gods and the humans are depicted with the opening theme song “KAMIGAMI” by Maximum the Hormone playing in the background.
Also, three additional cast members and the narrator were announced.

“Record of Ragnarok” will be streamed worldwide exclusively on Netflix from June 17.

There are many works that feature mythological and historical figures, but this one explains the backstories of the characters, making it easy for me to read.
I would find out about characters I only knew by name and get absorbed in the story!
The battles are also extreme and exciting!

Her words and behavior seem modest, but at the same time, I feel her strength.
I think it takes a lot of guts to perform Volund in the first round.
I tried to portray her strong will within her kindness.

The fourth of the 13 Valkyrie Sisters. Her name means “Shield Destroyer”. She performed “Volund”, which turned herself into a weapon, to become Lu Bu’s “Sky Piercer”.

The story is so spectacular! The scale is overwhelming! That was my first impression. At first, I wondered if there would be any chance for the humans to win against the gods. But to my surprise, the humans put up a good fight! From beginning to the end, the thrill drew me into the passionate story.

Reginleif-chan is the first character with a name for me to voice, so I was really nervous and excited until the day of the recording.
Reginleif-chan seems intelligent and reliable. She’s super cool from the first scene she appears in. I tried imagining what kind of person she usually is to expand her image for the recordings!

I couldn’t take my eyes off the clashing souls and the tension of the characters risking their lives.
Not only the battles against their opponents but also the lonely struggles within themselves are fascinating.
The intense, realistic battles are amazing and they drew me in before I even knew it.
The world and the characters of the work are also fascinating, and I’m always overwhelmed by a power that grabs my heart.
It’s an honor to be able to be part of the work as Hrist-san.
Q2. Impressions about the character and enthusiasm towards playing the character
Hrist-san has two names and powers of “Shaking One” and “Quaking One”. The duality of the melancholic, kind “Shaking One” and the roughly “Quaking One” is beautiful and impressive.
I love the gap between her two sides, which switches instantly, and how she swings between them gives her a unique charm.
I’m happy to be able to play such a great character as Hrist-san.
I’ll do my best, so please look forward to the show.

To be honest, I thought the settings were absurd. But it makes you want to see this absurd battle.
It’s absurd yet draws my attention. I kept that feeling in mind while reading the original work, and next, I was blown away by the impressive drawings.
I’m also looking forward to seeing who will be fighting in the next battle, and have high hopes for the development of the story.

I want to keep the power of the original work. But not too much so as not to destroy the original flavor.
