The broadcast date of the TV anime “The Duke of Death and His Maid” has been announced. It is scheduled to premiere on July 4, 2021. The additional cast members, including Otsuka Hochu and Minase Inori, and new key visual have also been revealed.

“The Duke of Death and His Maid ” is a manga by Inoue, which has been serialized online via ‘Sunday Webry’. It has over a million copies in circulation and keeps gathering attention on social media.
The romantic comedy features ‘Duke of Death’, who has been spending his life alone since he was cursed and rejected by other people, and ‘Alice’, the duke’s personal maid, depicting a story where Duke of Death is subjected to sexual harassment by Alice, and Alice is always trying to flirt with him.

A total of 5 additional cast members have been announced. Otsuka Hochu will play the role of Rob, who has been taking care of Duke of Death in place of his parents after he was disowned, Minase Inori will play the role of Viola, the duke’s younger sister who is interested in love and sweets.
Kuramochi Wakana will play the role of Caph, a half-demon girl. Kamiya Hiroshi will play the role of Zain, a wizard with bird features who always attempts to flirt with girls he encounters, and Uchida Yuma will play the role of Walter, the duke’s younger brother who always attempts to surpass him.
The comments have arrived from the cast members.

A key visual featuring Duke of Death and Alice looking at each other while they’re blushing, and PV have also been revealed. The PV previews the opening theme song “Mangetsu to Silhouette no Yoru (Full Moon and Silhouette’s Night)” by Duke of Death (CV. Hanae Natsuki) and Alice (CV. Mano Ayumi), and the ending theme song “Nocturne” by Alice. These songs will be both A-side singles and released on July 28.

The TV anime “The Duke of Death and His Maid Production Committee” will be released on Sunday, July 4, 2021, on TOKYO MX and other stations.

Otsuka Hochu (Rob)

He is a gentleman.
He seems to be a man with a shady history in the past, but I guess that it isn’t the case.
He may seem to be a suspicious man with a terrible scheme in his mind, but I guess it isn’t the case.
He just loves protecting and taking care of the Duke of Death.
I like such a character. (laugh)
He is sexy and makes me impatient, but I would like to watch over the pure relationship between the duke and Alice from afar.

Minase Inori (Viola)

She loves him, but cannot reach him.
This work depicts a bittersweet love story.
I always get butterflies whenever I see the Duke and Alice trying to make sure the feeling each other although he is always tossed about by her.
Viola, who I play, is so daring a character that she never minds cutting in.

Kuramochi Wakana (Caph)

I am Kuramochi Wakan, and will play the role of Caph.
I felt “The Duke of Death and His Maid” features a lot of beautiful things such as being considerate of others, protecting loved ones, family, and friends, when I read the original comic.
I will try my best to play Caph-chan, who is honest and affectionate but sometimes cool. Thank you for your continued support!

Kamiya Hiroshi (Zain)

I was selected as a cast to play Zain, and I binge-read the original comic！
I felt refreshed to see the duke and Alice’s pureness.
The original story by Inoue-sensei and image by Yamakawa perfectly match, clearly and obscurely reproducing the original world-view, which is dark but beautifully pure with digital technique.

Uchida Yuma (Walter)

I am Uchida Yuma, and will play the role of Walter. This work features a sentimental duke and funny maid. The story makes me laugh but makes me feel somewhat painful at the same time, which will be the charm of this work.
