From the TV anime ” Let’s make a mug, too “, the first episode was broadcasted on April 2, 2021 (Fri.), “Nice to meet you! Pottery Club” and the first cut of the live action part “#1” were released.
“Let’s make a mug, too” (abbreviated as “Yakumo” in Japanese) is a coming-of-age story set in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, about four high school girls who fall in love with the charm of ceramics through the traditional craft of Mino ware.
The story is based on a free comic published by Planet Inc., a local IT company in Tajimi City, since 2012. The first 15 minutes of the story is an animation part, and the second 15 minutes is a live-action part featuring the four main cast members.
The title of the first episode’s anime part is “Nice to meet you! Ceramics Club”.
On the first day of high school, the main character, Himeno, introduces herself by displaying a mug made by her late mother. Then, her classmate, Kukuri, who knew her mother’s work, takes her to the pottery club. Attracted by the smell of clay, which she was not supposed to know, Himeno decides to try her hand at pottery for the first time. ……
In the live-action part, “#1,” the four voice actors take a stroll through Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, the setting of “Yakumo”.
“Let’s make a mug, too” began airing on CBC TV and other stations on April 2.
