Oct. 12 is Itou Miku’s birthday.
Itou Miku debuted in the 2010s. In 2020 she appeared in “Princess Connect! Re:Dive” and “Adachi and Shimamura”, and in 2021 she will play the main characters in “The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬” and “Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town”. She also released her 7th single “Lonely Dark” in June. And she is active as an artist as well.
Here, at Anime! Anime! to celebrate Itou Miku’s birthday, we conducted a reader survey “Who is your favorite character played by Itou Miku?” During the survey period from Sep. 28 to Oct. 5, 76 responses have been received.
The male-female ratio is about 75% for males and about 25% for females, mainly males. About 40% of the age group were minors, and about 35% were in their 20s.
■ “The Quintessential Quintuplets” Nakano Miku is at the top for the second consecutive year .
1st place
1st place goes to Nakano Miku from “The Quintessential Quintuplets” with an approval rating of about 30%, which is higher than last year.
Comments about the third daughter of Nakano’s family, “I think Itou-san’s voice multiplies this character’s cuteness and charm”, “Her muttering really fits well and sounds great”, and “Her low voice is adorable.”
Many readers pointed out how well it was portrayed that the character was the most quiet of the five sisters.
Maybe this popularity can be explained by the release of the 2nd season “The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬” in 2021.
2nd place goes to Tsurumaki Kokoro from “BanG Dream!” with an approval rating of about 20%. Remaining in 2nd place like last year.
Kokoro Tsurumaki is the leader of the girls’ band “Hello, Happy World!”, and she is the daughter of a famous family. Her innocence became popular, “I like how Miku-san’s voice fits the bright character with no hidden side”, and “I think thanks to Itou-san’s acting this character is full of energy and could make everyone smile.”
Fans also liked her singing voice “Every time I’m waiting for not only original sons from the game app, but also for covers.”
3rd place
3rd place goes to Usami Nanako from “Ordinary High School Girls Tried Being Locodols”, who ranked up from 5th place last year with an approval rating is about 12%.
Comments about Usami Nanako who suddenly became a Locodol, “A straightforward and serious girl who does it well because she cares. Her mispronounciation of her own name, falls down, and sometimes showed sloppiness are very cute.”
There are also been comments about this work as a first-time playing main character in anime, “Itou-san, who did her best as a voice actress in her first big role, and Nanako, who also works on being “Locodol”‘, a fits each other.”

In this year’s questionnaire, freshly released titles such as “The Quintessential Quintuplets”, “BanG Dream!”, And “Princess Connect!”, “Adachi and Shimamura”, and other titles that have been broadcast in 2020 are ranked high.
Among them, Nakano Miku and Tsurumaki Kokoro took 1st and 2nd places for the two consecutive years, showing the outstanding performance.
