While waiting for a cinema release of “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time”, the TV animation “Neon Genesis Evangelion” as “Neon Genesis Evangelion Ground Broadcast Complementary Plan”, it has been announced that the TV anime series “Neon Genesis Evangelion” will be broadcast as part of “Neon Genesis Evangelion Ground Broadcast Complementing Plan” on TV Asahi's midnight anime frame “NUM Animation” from Jul 4, 2020.
it is the first attempt for ground broadcast TV anime and in the 25 year history of the “Evangelion” series, the viewers vote will decide the broadcast content for the next week.
Since only 12 of 26 episodes of “NUM Animation” TV anime series “Neon Genesis Evangelion” can bee broadcast as part of the “Ground Broadcast Complementary Plan” from Jul. 4 to Sep. 26, it will be viewers who will decide episodes for the broadcast plan.
From the program's official Twitter account or special website, viewers will be asked to vote for the episodes they want to see in the next broadcast and decide the broadcast content for the next week according to the results. The “true coalescence” of TV and viewers where you choose the episodes you see has been realized.
It is the first attempt for ground broadcast TV animation and within the 25-year history of the “Evangelion” series to decide the next broadcast content by the viewers' votes.
The first episode “Angel Attack” will be on air on Jul. 4. Right after the end of the broadcast, you can vote for the nest episode you want to see, and the episode that gained most votes will be broadcast on the 11th next week.
