Konishi Katsuyuki-san debuted in the 1990s. In 2020, he voiced the main characters of titles, such as “Case File nº221: Kabukicho” and “Arte”.

We at Anime!Anime! had an email interview with him in 2018 on the occasion of the “International Fan Festival Osaka 2018”.

To celebrate his birthday, we have conducted a survey asking, “Who is your favorite character voiced by Konishi Katsuyuki-san?” There were 239 votes received during the voting period from Apr. 10 to Apr. 17.
There were more female voters with a gender ratio of 75% female to 25% male, and the age range was on the younger side with 30% under 19 and 30% in their 20s.

■Takano Masamune from “The World's Greatest First Love” was at the top. The latest work from the series was also popular!
1st place was taken by Takano Masamune from “The World's Greatest First Love” with roughly 16% of the votes.

Takano Masamune is the editor-in-chief of the Emerald department. “Takano-san is so devoted. He doesn't seem so because of his wild way of speaking, but his love for Ricchan gives me butterflies,” and “I've heard many voices of roles played by Konishi-san. The deep, cool, and bossy voice he does for Takano-san is, to me, the most attractive,” are some of the comments showing how he fascinated fans.
He also received comments referring to the latest work of the series 'Propose-hen', which was screened in Feb. this year, “It was a treat to be able to hear Konishi-san's mature and cool voice at the movies,” “I was glad that he continued the role in Propose-hen. His wheeling voice when he's alone with Ricchan is a charm!”

Coming in 2nd was Uzui Tengen from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” with roughly 10% of the votes.
Uzui Tengen is one of the Demon Slayer Corp Pillars. He received comments pointing out his voice matching his extravagant looks, “Konishi-san's mature and sexy voice really matches the hot and manly Uzui-san,” and “His distinctive voice well fits Uzui's unique looks.”
There were fans looking forward to seeing how his battle scenes are going to be depicted in the anime, “I love how he is flamboyant yet devoted to his wives. I can't wait to see his further activities!”

3rd place went to Oga Tatsumi from “Beelzebub” with roughly 6% of the votes.
Oga Tatsumi is the strongest high school bad-boy, who ends up taking care of the Baby Beel, who is the son of the great demon king. He received many comments pointing out how he is unexpectedly caring, “I love how he is overwhelmingly strong in battles and his manliness of taking care of Baby Beel,” and “He's awesome how he is a bad-boy yet has a sense of justice, and also keeps pursuing strength while taking care of Baby Beel.”

■Here are some comments for the other characters!!
For Kamina from “Gurren Lagann”, “The big brother who's unprecedented and caring seems like Konishi-san himself, haha.”

For America from “Hetalia”, “It was refreshing to see Konishi-san, who usually voices characters with a low tone, took on an energetic character.”

For Hagi from “Blood+”, “His loyalty and deep love for Saya seeps through Konishi-san's voicing and puts tears in my eyes. His being reticent makes the scenes where he speaks even more exciting!”

For Sherlock Holmes from “Case File nº221: Kabukicho”, which has just finished, “His acting well depicted the difference between the usual Sherlock and when he is performing Rakugo. Konishi-san's portraying of Sherlock becoming more human towards the end of the series strongly moved me!”

Reliable characters stood out in this survey's results.
