Let’s celebrate Konishi Katsuyuki’s birthday! Who is your favorite character? 3rd place goes to “Ikeoji” Kaburagi from “Deca-Dence”! Check out two characters at the top!

April 21 is Konishi Katsuyuki’s birthday.

Konishi Katsuyuki debuted in the 1990s. He won the Supporting Actor Award at the 9th Seiyuu Awards. In 2021, he will perform main characters in titles such as “SHAMAN KING” and “Bakuten!!”.

To celebrate Konishi Katsuyuki’s birthday, we conducted an annual reader survey “Who is your favorite character played by Konishi Katsuyuki?”. We received responses from 251 people during the survey period from April 7 to April 14.
The male-female ratio is about 20% for males and about 80% for females. About 30% of the age group were teens, about 35% were in their 20s, and about 20% were in their 30s.

1st place
1st place is shared between Uzui Tengen from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” and Takano Masamune from “Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi: The World’s Greatest First Love” with an approval rating of about 14%.

Tengen Uzui, the sound Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, has ranked up from 2nd place last year. Readers commented, “Shining and sexy strong voice is the real Tengen.”, and “Although there are still only a few scenes with him in the main story, the promotion video alone was full of Uzui’s character and Konishi’s charm.” Many fans are also waiting for the release of season 2, “I’m looking forward to watching what kind of performance will be shown in ‘Yuukaku-hen’.”, and “I can’t stop looking forward to seeing the cool Tengen-sama!”

Takano Masamune remains at the top as it was last year.

Many fans find the gap in the different personalities of this character attractive, “Usually, he is cool and sometimes shouts severely as the editor-in-chief, but when it is about Onodera, Konishi’s voice fits perfectly to the sexy mood.”, and “He is a boss at work, but I really like the fact that he always thinks about Onodera! In the proposal hen, the bandages on the ring fingers of each other’s left hand made me cry.” The characters that were ranked high last year also show their strength this year.

3rd place
3rd place goes to Kaburagi from “Deca-Dence” with an approval rating of about 7%, and the characters from the summer 2020 anime made it into the top-3.

Kabragi is a veteran armor repairer of the giant mobile fortress Deca-Dence. The impressive middle-aged man’s performance attracted fans, “At first, he was quiet and unfriendly, but as he became involved with his subordinate Natsume, his expression gradually became richer and he started smiling. I love the cool appearance of Kaburagi-an, the cool uncle, and Konishi-san’s lovely voice, which makes him a very attractive character.” Many readers were surprised by the secret side of this work.

In the 2021 version, the characters ranked in last year also show strength, while the characters of new titles and new series such as “Deca-Dence”, “Shaman King”, “Golden Kamuy”, “World Trigger” are also ranked in. There are more diverse characters than last time.
