July 6 is Fairouz Ai’s birthday.

Fairouz Ai made her debut in 2019. She won the Best New Actresses at the 14th Seiyu Awards. From 2020 to 2021, she has been playing the characters in “If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die”, “Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure”, etc. She is going to play the protagonist in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean” as well.

To celebrate her birthday, Anime!Anime! conducted a reader survey titled ‘Who is your favorite character played by Fairouz Ai?’. During the survey period from June 16 to 23, a total of 112 responses were received. For the gender ratio, the males were the majority with about 60% while the females were about 40%. For the age distribution, we received responses from readers of all ages: about 30% were teens, and about 30% were in their 20s.

1st place
1st place went to Natsuumi Manatsu/Cure Summer from “Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure” The support rating was about 40%.

Natsuumi Manatsu is an energetic 7th-grade student. The comments received show that “energetic” symbolizes the character; “She is by far the most energetic and cheerful character among Pretty Cures!”, “She is always full of energy, which matches Fairouz Ai-san’s voice. She cheers me up!”, and “She is energetic and powerful. I was enchanted by such a personality”. The heroine, who lights up people around her like the sun, topped the list.

2nd place
2nd place went to Sakura Hibiki from “How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?”. The support rating was about 15%.

Sakura Hibiki is in the 11th-grade, and goes to the gym as she cares about being chubby. The comments received were, “She is working out so hard, so I also started weight training. Her humorous reactions made me laugh and distracted me, thanks to Fairouz Ai-san’s cheerful voice”, and “She was still a new actress, but chosen to play the protagonist. She perfectly played the role, which was surprising”.
Some readers mentioned the opening theme song “Onegai Muscle”, saying “Both the theme song and main story were so cute, and I was completely satisfied as a fan of the original work.”

3rd place
3rd place went to Eripiyo from “If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die”. The support rating was about 10 %.

Eripiyo is an idol fan, who will sacrifice everything for Ichii Maina of ChamJam. The comments received admired her trying her best in everything; “I like her devoted to Maina-chan, and trying her best in anything!”, “Fairouz Ai-san’s voice perfectly matches my image for Eripiyo. Her little low voice expresses Eripiyo’s weird aspect well in a good way. That was amazing!”, and “Fairouz Ai-san faithfully expressed her feelings and energy, which was wonderful.”

The protagonist characters occupied the top positions in this survey. The result shows that honest, cheerful characters are popular among the readers. As you can see in the overall result below, some readers voted for Cujoh Jolyne from “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean”, which will be made into an anime adaptation, to wish her a good luck.
