From the TV anime “MARS RED”, the summary and scene-cut of #1 “Dawn”, which started airing on April 5, 2021 (Mon), have been released.
“MARS RED” is the first TV anime adaptation from an original music reading play. The original story is written by Fujisawa Bun-O, a leading figure in music recitation, the original characters are designed by Karakara Kemuri known for “Laughing Under the Clouds”, and the series composition and script are written by Fujisaki Junichi known for “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”.
The story is set in the Taisho era and depicts the story of the Japanese government’s anti-vampire agency, the 16th Special Task Force (a.k.a. Code Zero).
The title of #1 is “Dawn”.
It’s early summer in 1923, and Maeda Yoshinobu is greeted at Tokyo Station by Moriyama, a member of the 16th Special Task Force. Moriyama, on the orders of Lieutenant General Nakajima, invited Maeda to a facility in Tsukishima. What Maeda saw there was a vampire who was singing the lines of Queen Salome in a high-pitched voice. The vampire is a stage actress from the Imperial Theater, Misaki, and Maeda begins to pursue who the vampire is that has done this to her. However, during the investigation, Maeda receives a call that Misaki has escaped from Tsukishima.
“MARS RED” #1 “Dawn” started airing on Yomiuri TV and other stations from April 5, 2021.
