November 26 is Katou Emiri-san’s brithday.

Katou Emiri-san debut in 2000. She has won the best rookie actresses and best musical performance in the 2nd Seiyuu Awards as well as the best actresses in supporting roles in the 6th Seiyuu Awards. From 2019 until 2020, she had appeared in various titles, including “Ninja Box”, “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story”, and “BanG Dream!”.

Thus, to celebrate her birthday, we had conducted the reader survey titled “Who is your favorite character by Katou Emiri-san?”. We have received a total of 107 responses from November 12 until November 19.
The gender distribution are about 60% from males and 40% from females. For the age distribution, about 45% are from minors while about 25% are from those in theirs 20’s.

■Hachikuji from “Monogatari” Series has taken the top1st place
1st place goes to Hachikuji Mayoi from “Monogatari” Series. Her support rating is about 18%.

Hachikuji is a 5th year primary school student, who become a lost child for some reason. The readers’ comments are “It because her interaction with the main protagonist, Araragi Koyomi is too interesting” that showed the cheerful dialogue is too impresive, “I love her ‘Sorry, I bit my tongue’ when she mispronounce Araragi name on purpose”, and “I was attracted to the continouslu exchange of lines like a comedy duo.”

2nd place
2nd place goes to Uehara Himari from “BanG Dream!”. The support rating is about 10%.

For the leader of Afterglow, Himari, the comments are “She is a moodmaker that brighten up everyone. As the leader, she is supposed to hold the band together but I liked how her effort is going nowhere” and “She is a bright and pure character and her smile is too bright”, this showss that her rich expression and bright personality had capture the heart of the fans.
Her votes are mostly comprised of youngster.

3rd place
3rd place is Hiiragi Kagami from “Lucky Star”. The support rating is about 8%.

Some of the comments for her are “She is earnest, reliable, and is a common sense person toward other characters’ jokes but she is cute as she cares for Konata despite her cruelty toward Konata’s meddling” and “She normally act cold but she is a loner that longed for ‘I hope to be in the same class as Konata and the others’. She is so cute till you want to protect her unwillingly.”

For Kyubey from “Puella Magi Madoka Magica”, “Despite its cute voice and appearance, his numerous evil deed are too impactful” and “The small Kyubey in the ‘Side Story’ is so cute.”
For Hajime form “Hamatora”, “Although she only have the impression of always eating something, she is still a cute character in my memory.”

For Isozaki Ran from “Telepathy Shoujo Ran”, “She is bright, energetic, optimistic, and is able to use supernatual abilities. I like how she always cooperate with Midori, who is the same supernatual abilities user that always tease her, to solve the cases.”
There was even a vote for the popular series, which is Shiawase Naru from “Kiratto Pri☆chan”, and the reader comments are “She looks great with a smile and match the atmosphere of Katou-san” and “I was happy to see her appearance in the new live despite her guest appearance in ‘Kiratto Pri☆chan’.”

The result of the survey is mostly comprised of energetic characters.
