Nov. 11 is Komatsu Mikako-san’s birthday
Komatsu Mikako-san debuted as a voice actress in 2020. She played in multiple titles that have been released in the fall of 2020, including “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon”, “Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai”, and “Jujutsu Kaisen”.
Here at Anime!Anime!, to celebrate her birthday, we conducted a readers’ survey titled, ‘Who is your favorite character voiced by Komatsu Mikako?’, again as last year. The survey was conducted from Oct. 30 to Nov. 6, and we received 131 answers.
The male-to-female ratio was about 50% to 50%. About 55% of the readers voted were minors, 20% were in their twenties, which means that the young readers accounted for a large percentage.

1st place
1st place went to Kaguya Madoka in “Star Twinkle PreCure” again as last year with about 15% support ratings.
The comments praised how she has changed like, ‘She is kind, and good at both studies and sports, but somewhat naive. I was relieved that she got confidence in herself after she met PreCure friends.’, and ‘She was raised by a strict dad, so she has been a hard-working perfectionist. After she met her friends, she got to be able to make a decision by herself, which is great.’ Also, her hidden personality got some favorable reviews like, ‘She is usually serious, but sometimes goofy, and likes UMA and horror. I like such a gap.’
2nd place
2nd place went to Setsuna in “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” with about 10% support ratings.
Setsuna is a half-demon daughter of Sesshomaru that appeared in “Inuyasha”. Most of the votes were from “Inuyasha” fans, which are, ‘She is a cool-beauty as her dad. But when she is thoughtful, or blushed, she looks cute. I’m looking forward to see further development.’, and ‘She is calm, and rarely reveals her feelings just as Sesshomaru. That’s cool.’
3rd place
3rd place went to Totsuka Saika in “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU”.
Totsuka Saika is a girl-looking high school boy. He is popular among male readers as well like, ‘He is so cute that I sometimes forget that he is a boy. When the protagonist Hachiman unexpectedly pinned him against a wall, he got blushed. I was also attracted by him to see that.’ Some comment said ‘He is the cutest character in “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU”.

Wada Hina in “Detective Conan”
‘Mikako-shi likes “Detective Conan”, which makes her role more impressive. Karate scenes were cool and cute. The role was perfect for her!’
Suzuno Ito in “Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live”
‘She looks calm, but has passion in her heart. I like the song “BT37.5” that features such Ito-chan!.
Tachibana Hotaru in “Aoharu × Machinegun”
‘She is cool but cute. Both aspects are attractive, and the role is perfect for Mikako-shi.’
‘Her androgynous voice were great for the role, and also Hotaru’s strong sense of justice is perfect for her.’
Arte in “Arte”
‘She has different aspects such as when she is working toward her dream, and when she is goofy. I like the gap.’
‘I was moved by her going against the beliefs of her time.’
The titles that have been released in 2020 received some votes.
In the survey 2020, 1st place remained the same, but the characters after 2nd place completely changed. The result show the popularity of latest works, and new series.
