September 8th is Seki Tomokazu's birthday.

Seki Tomokazu made his voice acting debut in the early 1990s. Since then, he has continued to work at the forefront, and in 2020 he will be playing roles in titles such as “PSYCHO-PASS Psychopath 3 FIRST INSPECTOR” and “Jujutsu Kaisen”.

So, as a way of wishing Seki Tomokazu a happy birthday, we decided to continue on from last year and ask our reader's opinion about, “Who is your favorite character played by him?” 550 people responded during the survey period, which ran from August 24th to August 31st.
The percentage of males to females was about 25% males and 75% females, with a large number of females. A wide range of age groups voted, with about 30% of respondents under the age of 19, 25% in their 20s, and 25% in their 30s.

■PSYCHO-PASS” Kogami Shinya tops the list for the second year in a row! Specters and fairies are also ranked.

First place.
The first place went to Kogami Shinya of “PSYCHO-PASS Psychopath”. With about 35% percent support, he came in at the top of the list, the same as last year.

'He is just so cool! It's great to see how Kogami, who was young and sharp in the first season, gradually becomes more mature and rounded as the series progresses” and “The character has a new charm every time he appears. I also love the way Seki-san plays the character naturally,” he said, adding, “I love the way his performance changes according to the age of the character.”
The voice is so perfectly matched to the character's appearance that it's almost as if the character was designed to match Seki-san's voice. There are many mysteries yet to be solved, and we can't take our eyes off of the future development and activities of the series! And there were many who wanted further sequels.

Second place.
In second place is Gilgamesh from “Fate/stay night”, with about 18% support. This is also about the same as last year.

The play that conveys his overwhelming charisma is popular, with comments like, “He's so self-righteous and unreasonable, but he has the dignity and charisma of the oldest king. The way he laughs, which conveys both dynamism and greatness, is too cool,” said a comment referring to his characteristic laugh.

Third place.
Third place went to Honekawa Suneo from “Doraemon”. His approval rating is about 5%t, a significant increase from last year.

I've watched a number of cartoons in which Seki-san has voiced Suneo, and the difference between his character voice and his real voice is so stark, it makes me think that voice actors are amazing.” and “I don't know where his voice is coming from! They were surprised to hear that his voice was completely different from his own.

It's amazing how he can act when he's bragging to Nobita and when he's scared of Gianne! and the fact that the character enjoys a variety of theatrical performances is another reason why he received votes.

And more comments!
Domon Kash of “MOBILE FIGHTER G GUNDAM” said, “The strength, kindness, and sorrowfulness of his voice fit the character, and in a way, it matches the work that rewrote the concept of Gundam.
For Chiaki Shinichi of “Nodame Cantabile,” they said, “He had a wide range of acting styles, from comedic dialogue with Nodame, to a serious play that was more like a real person, but I felt he was very natural.

About Daigoji Guy in “Martian Successor Nadesico”, “If you ask me to choose someone to play a character who is hot and bothered, there's no one better than Tomokazu Seki. I can't think of anyone better than Tomokazu Seki when it comes to playing hot and biting characters.”
As for Mepple from “Futari wa Pretty Cure”, “I was surprised to see Tomokazu Seki playing the lovable fairy Mepple. I also like the fact that he's a picky eater and that he makes fun of Nagisa, the main character,” was said about his voicing of the non-human character.

Characters from a wide range of titles, from popular titles from the 1990s to the latest titles with new series coming soon, were ranked in the poll.
