A teaser poster and special video of the live-action movie “The Promised Neverland”, to be released on Dec. 18, 2020, have been released. The impressive poster features Hamabe Minami as Emma and others smiling.

The movie is based on an escape suspense manga written by Shirai Kaiu and illustrated by Demizu Posuka, which was serialized on “Weekly Shonen Magazine” from Aug. 2016 to Jun. 2020.
Currently, 19 volumes of comic books have been published, and had over 24 million copies in circulation all around the world. From Jan. 2021, the second season of the anime will be broadcast, and the live-action project in Hollywood is also in progress.

The teaser poster features the children smiling without knowing what is happening in their futures, and the shocking slogan “Sono Rakuen kara Datsugoku Seyo (Escape From That Paradise)”, the contrast of which is impressive.

The special information is rich in content, featuring Emma (played by Hamabe Minami), who is eager to escape from the orphanage after she uncovers the truth of it and loses a comfortable life, Ray (played by Jou Kairi), Norman (played by Itagaki Rihito), Isabella (played by Kitagawa Keiko), who utters ominous words with a smile, and Krone (played by Watanabe Naomi).

“The Promised Neverland” will be released starting Dec. 18, 2020 at Toho Cinemas chains all around Japan.
