It turned out that the live-action movie “Monster Hunter” would be released simultaneously in Japan and the United States on Sep. 4. The scene picture was revealed worldwide for the first time, showing Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa in hunting outfits.

Monster Hunter is based on a popular action game recording its series has sold a total of 61 million copies since its first release in 2004.
For the live-action movie by Hollywood, Director Paul W. S. Anderson from “Resident Evil” series and the star Milla Jovovich worked together a second time.

The movie will be released simultaneously in Japan and the United States, with the premiere scheduled on Sep. 24.
At the same time, the scene picture was also shown worldwide for the first time. It makes Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa look sturdy. The appearance of the two standing on a desolate earth with a sunset on their back and covered with wounds and soil makes us get a feeling that severe survival is going to happen.

A video to be released for the first time will also be prepared to be screened during the interlude at the nationwide TOHO Cinemas. It reproduced the world view of the game as well as familiar monsters that have annoyed many gamers.

In “Monster Hunter”, Milla Jovovich plays a female leader, Artemis. Her elite troops on reconnaissance in the desert get stricken by a sudden and huge sandstorm.
After losing consciousness, Artemis wakes up in a completely different world.

Director Anderson commented that he was a big fan of the “Monster Hunter” series and fell in love with the world depicted in it. He talked about his enthusiasm for the movie, “It will be a special work. I’m looking forward to seeing it in the theater.”
How would the director, who led the “Resident Evil” series into a blockbuster, draw “Monster Hunter” this time?
