It was revealed that the TV Anime “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” season 2 will be broadcast on 2020 Fall and as a commemoration, an original illustration of the protagonist, Rimuru Tempest was revealed.
The original work of “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” is a fantasy novel about the salaryman who got stab by a random attacker and got reborn in an Isekai (alternate world) as a slime that is enjoying his new life while building a nation regardless of races. The TV anime was broadcast from Oct. 2018 until Mar. 2019.
The announcement on season 2 was made in the event “Premier screening of the OAD attached in manga volume 14 limited edition” on Jan. 26. The broadcast is on 2020 Fall, and 8bit will continue as the animation production.
The OAD is a three-part complete new story written by the original author Fuse. The first episode titled “Extra Story: Rimuru's Great Teacher Life Part1” will be attached in volume 14 of the comic, which will be released on Mar. 27. The sequel will be attached in volume 15 (Released date: Jul. 9) and the limited edition of volume 16 (Released date: Nov. 9).
