Netflix’s original anime series, “Cagaster of an Insect Cage” is scheduled to be released exclusively on Netflix worldwide from Feb. 2020.
In addition, the latest visual and promotional video have been released, along with comments by the cast which includes Hosoya Yoshimasa, Hanazawa Kana, and Hanae Natsuki, and the original author Kachou Hashimoto.

“Cagaster of an Insect Cage” is originally an action fantasy manga serialized on the web for 11 years since 2005.
The story is set in 2125, when a strange disease called “Cagaster” spreads into the world turning humans into giant insects. It follows the adventure of a young boy named Kidou, “exterminator” of insects, and a little girl with a dark past named Ilie.

In France, it won the 2015 Manga Award “Prix Mangawa” in the shonen manga division, receiving international recognition and becoming a recommended book in schools and libraries. It is currently commercialized in Japan at Tokuma Shoten since 2016.
The released visual shows the insect cage as background, with Kidou, Ilie, and a mysterious man, Ahato, standing in front of their destiny in a world infected by the strange disease, “Cagaster”.
