A survey of “Which character do you want as your family member?” was conducted by the anime subscription service “d Anime Store” in Aug. 2019. The results of “Siblings & pets” have been released.
There were many votes along with comments for characters from various works such as; “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood”, “The Quintessential Quintuplets”, “Bakemonogatari”, “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”, “Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun”, K-On!”,”Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World”, “In Another World with My Smartphone”, “Natsume’s Book of Friends”, etc.

For the category of “Ideal Big Brother”, Kamado Tanjiro from “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” was commented to be “honest, kind, and takes good care of others, full of brotherly assets”. Others wanted Edward Elric from “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” to “encourage me when I’m facing problems”.

For the category of “Ideal Big Sister”, Nakano Ichika from “The Quintessential Quintuplets” received comments on her “great sisterly assets, acting as the big sister even though she has problems of her own”. There were comments for Hanekawa Tsubasa from “Bakemonogatari” saying “She is smart, kind, and thoughtful of others! It’s nice that she also will give you a scolding when needed.”

For the category of “Ideal Little Brother”, many wanted to “watch over the growth of” Bell Cranel from “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”. Others “want to support” Mikoshiba Mikoto from “Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun” and “can’t leave him alone”.

For the category of “Ideal Little Sister”, Hirasawa Ui from “K-On!” received a comment about a specific episode, “The episode where she came up with the great song “U&I” because of her sister catching a cold was the best.” Rem from “Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World” received, “I want her as a little sister since her love for her big sister is so great.”

For the category of “Ideal Pet”, Kohaku from “In Another World with My Smartphone” was favored for “being so cute in his chibi-form after forming the contract and yet keeping such strength of his true form, Byakko”. The same applied for Nyanko-sensei from “Natsume’s Book of Friends” being “cute when in the form of Nyanko-sensei, and so awesome when becoming Madara-sama”.
