From the anime “Natsume’s Book of Friends”, a new version of “Natsume’s Book of Friends Nyanko-sensei’s Square Flower Box”, which draws the popular character Nyanko-sensei with artificial flowers, has been released.
“Natsume’s Book of Friends” is an Ayakashi story based on the manga by Midorikawa Yuki, which is currently serialized in “LaLa”.
The story follows a lonely boy Natsume Takashi, who has a secret that he became able to perceive yokais and is pursued by them after he inherited the “Book of Friends” from his grandmother, leading his busy life to dissolve the contracts that his grandmother made with yokais with his self-proclaimed bodyguard Nyanko-sensei.
The 1st TV anime series was released in 2008, and a total of 6 seasons have been broadcast so far. For the voice actors, Kamiya Hiroshi is playing the protagonist Natsume, and Inoue Kazuhiko is playing Nyanko-sensei. The work will celebrate its 20th anniversary in the July 2023 issue of “LaLaDX”, which will be released on June 5, 2023.
