All 12 episodes of the 3DCG anime “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac Battle Sanctuary” will be broadcast on various platforms from January 1, 2023. At the same time, a trailer of the battle unfolds as the saints battle their beliefs and they engage in a spectacular battle.
“Saint Seiya” is a battle action series based on the manga by Kurumada Masami, which has sold more than 35 million copies. Revived with the latest 3DCG technology, “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac” has gained new fans around the world with its first season, which depicts the “Silver Saint Arc” up to the original story while adding new settings and developments.
The second season, “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac Battle Sanctuary,” which is set in the “Sanctuary: Twelve Palaces Arc,” was first distributed overseas on July 31, 2022.

The trailer begins with the shocking moment when the goddess Athena (Kido Saori), whose life is threatened by a prophecy that she will destroy mankind, is shot by a “god-killing arrow. Only the Pope, who reigns atop the sanctuary beyond the Twelve Palaces, can pull out this arrow. Seiya and the other Bronze Saints stand up against fate to save Athena.
The saints’ well-known special moves have been further upgraded with beautiful computer graphics, and the battle unfolds with great intensity. The Golden Saints, who protect the Twelve Palaces, are said to be capable of unleashing as many as 100 million punches per second. This video, which predicts a grueling ordeal, heats up as if linked to Seiya’s passionate thoughts and feelings.
All 12 episodes of “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac Battle Sanctuary” will be available on U-NEXT, Anime Unlimited, Hulu and dAnime Store from January 1, 2023.
