The manga "The Vampire Dies in No Time" will be adapted for the stage and will perform in June 2023. The theater, performance date, cast, and ticket information will be announced at a later date. “The Vampire Dies in No Time" is a high-tension vampire quick-death gag serialized in Akita Shoten's "Weekly Shonen Champion" by Bonnoki Itaru. It depicts the comical daily life of Draluc, the weakest vampire in history, who dies and turns to dust very frequently, Ronaldo, a vampire hunter with a hard-working constitution, John the armadillo, who is Draluc's messenger, and the idiots and perverts who surround them. The work, which was made into an animated TV series in October 2021 and has been attracting a lot of attention, and the second season has been airing since January 2023, will finally be adapted to the stage. ‘A Pop-up Store for John,’ focusing on the armadillo John from the TV anime ‘The Vampire Dies in No Time,’ will be held to sell a wide range of items featuring John, such as "John's Curry Bowl." The original work of ‘The Vampire Dies in No Time’ is a comedy manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" by Bonnoki Itaru. Since the first TV anime season aired in October 2021, the comical interactions between the unique characters, such as Ronald the vampire hunter, and Draluc the punk vampire became popular. "John", a male armadillo who is Draluc's messenger, is loved among fans for his adorableness. The second season of the TV anime is scheduled to start on January 9, 2023. The upcoming pop-up store featuring the popular character John will be held sequentially at four Loft stores (Umeda, Yokohama, Ginza, and Sakae) from January 14, 2023. It will be a special event that allows fans to enjoy a wide selection of merchandise featuring John’s happy face. The lineup includes the standard "Acrylic Stand" (4 types), "John's Round Cushion," "John's Embroidered Pouch," "John's Imabari Towel," "John's Curry Bowl," and "John's Curry Spoon," to name just a few. The gag manga "The Vampire Dies in No Time," which has also been adapted into an anime, will pause its serialization due to the author Bonnoki Itaru taking a rest. The announcement was made on May 8, 2023 on the official Twitter account of the manga. "The Vampire Dies in No Time" is an upbeat gag manga about Draluc, "the weakest vampire in history", and Ronald, an unlucky vampire hunter, and other "idiots" and "perverts" around them. Bonnoki Itaru began serializing the manga in Weekly Shonen Champion in 2015, and the first TV anime season was aired in 2021, followed by a second season and a stage play adaptation this year. On May 8, the official Twitter of "The Vampire Dies in No Time" posted: "[Important Notice] As a result of repeated discussions between Bonnoki sensei and the editorial department, "The Vampire Dies in No Time" will take a break for a certain period after the May 11 release of Weekly Champion Issue 24 until Bonnoki sensei can continue the serialization in a perfect state of health." The announcement was also accompanied by an image of the "Notice: Suspension of Serialization." The timing of the resumption will be announced in a future issue of Weekly Champion.
