The gag manga “The Vampire Dies in No Time,” which has also been adapted into an anime, will pause its serialization due to the author Bonnoki Itaru taking a rest. The announcement was made on May 8, 2023 on the official Twitter account of the manga.

“The Vampire Dies in No Time” is an upbeat gag manga about Draluc, “the weakest vampire in history”, and Ronald, an unlucky vampire hunter, and other “idiots” and “perverts” around them.
Bonnoki Itaru began serializing the manga in Weekly Shonen Champion in 2015, and the first TV anime season was aired in 2021, followed by a second season and a stage play adaptation this year.

On May 8, the official Twitter of “The Vampire Dies in No Time” posted: “[Important Notice] As a result of repeated discussions between Bonnoki sensei and the editorial department, “The Vampire Dies in No Time” will take a break for a certain period after the May 11 release of Weekly Champion Issue 24 until Bonnoki sensei can continue the serialization in a perfect state of health.” The announcement was also accompanied by an image of the “Notice: Suspension of Serialization.”
The timing of the resumption will be announced in a future issue of Weekly Champion.

In response to this announcement, fans commented, “Thank you to Bonnoki sensei and the editorial team for choosing to take a break. Please sleep well, eat good food, play games, go somewhere, and take it easy.” “As much as I look forward to your work, I really, really wanted you to take a break once, so I am relieved. Please take care of yourself. I’ll be waiting for you for a long time.” “We’ll miss you, but we’ll be waiting for you! It’s just a blink of an eye for a vampire!”
