“DEATH NOTE” very new story will released for the first time in 12 years! The first 10 pages have revealed at “Obata Takeshi Exhibition”.
A completely new story of “DEATH NOTE” will be released for the first time in 12 years, and it will be on “Jump Square” March Issue (in store at Feb.4,2020). “DEATH NOTE” is a popular mystery originated by Ooba Tsugumi and Obata Takeshi, and it have been serialized on “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2004 to 2006. The work adapted TV anime, live action movie and a musical. By using "Death Note", a notebook that murders a person who got his name written, Yagami Raito, also known as "Kira" attempts to murder criminals with his own justice, and world-class detective L fights against him through the mind games. The completely new short story which will be on March Issue is an another collaboration of Ooba Tsugumi and Obata Takeshi. The first 10 pages of the story was released at "30th Year Anniversary as Manga Author: Obata Takeshi Exhibition NEVER COMPLETE" on Arts Chiyoda 3331 from Jul. 13, 2019 to Aug. 12, 2019. All rough drafts were also released on a manga app called "Shonen Jump+" and it became a sensational topic. The story begins with Tanaka Minoru, the smartest middle school boy in Japan who has gotten the 1st place in academic ability test for 3 consecutive years, meeting the Reaper Luke. Two years has passed since they met for the first time, and readers will wonder how Minoru is going to use "death note" for... The wristwatch, bag, and wallet inspired by Yagami Light from the anime "DEATH NOTE" are here. Each item can be pre-ordered from "SuperGroupies" now. The wristwatch is based on Yagami Light's watch that comes with a multi-function. The specification where the back cover can be pulled out is inspired by the function that Yagami used in the work. The back cover is carved with the silhouette of the Shinigami "Ryuk" and the work's logo. The bag is a tote bag that gave off a cool impression from the black texture base, which remind you of the "Death Note" that Yagami Light has, and the silver plate. ”DEATH NOTE" is a manga written by Ooba Tsugumi and illustrated by Obata Takeshi, and pre-orders for the wines inspired by the characters from ”DEATH NOTE" are now available at "Shiraito Shuzo" at Amanohashidate. Yagami Light, L, Ryuk, Melo, and Nia will be designed on the labels. "DEATH NOTE" image wine comes with a total of 4 types: "White Sparkling Yagami Light 750ml", "Apple Sparkling Ryuk (2 bottles set) 250ml×2", "White Wine L 750ml", and "Red/White Sparkling Melo・Nia (2 bottles set) 375ml". Also to commemorate the release, there is a campaign which gives away a large sticker inspired by each character if the pre-order is made at the EC website of "Shiraishi Shuzo" until Jun. 14, 2020.
