"BASE METAL", 3rd stage to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the 3.5D musical recitation "READING HIGH", had been held from May 3 to 7 at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Playhouse. Voice actors, including Yamadera Koichi, Suwabe Junichi, Kaji Yuki, Hosoya Yoshimasa, Yasumoto Hiroki, Aoi Shota, Toyonaga Toshiyuki, Umehara Yuichiro, Inoue Marina, and Sawashiro Miyuki appeared. The 5-day stage, featuring 10 gorgeous cast members, ended with applause and a full house. "READING HIGH" is a 3.5D musical recitation with a concept of "musical recitation to make you HIGH", which was established by Sony Music Entertainment together with Fujisawa Bunou, who is continuing to present cutting-edge recitation plays. "BASE METAL" was held as the 3rd stage to commemorate the 5th anniversary of "READING HIGH" with gorgeous cast members. The story depicted the chaotic Palace of Versailles on the eve of the French Revolution and cheaters there. "BASE METAL" is based on "A BASE METAL" performed in 2014, and revived with renewed script and music by Muranaka Toshiyuki. In January, it was performed in Osaka as well. The cast members include Yamadera Koichi / Suwabe Junichi(Count Cagliostro, etc.), Kaji Yuki / Hosoya Yoshimasa / Yasumoto Hiroki(Count of St. Germain, etc.), Aoi Shota / Toyonaga Toshiyuki / Umehara Yuichiro(Giacomo Casanova, etc.), and Inoue Marina / Sawashiro Miyuki(Charles de Normandie, etc.), and 4 of them appeared each day. The story became touching with their ability of expression, enthusiasm, and original music. At the final stage, there was a live-performance of the band with the greetings from the cast members. A total of 9 performances for 5 days have ended with a standing ovation and applause. "YOUNG WIZARDS ~Story from Ashiya Doman Oouchi Kagami", the 1st stage to commemorate the 5th anniversary of "READING HIGH", which was held at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall, will be released as Blu-ray/DVD on June 14. “Here We Go! Biggus McHugeGuy Combination”, which is episode 2 of the TV anime “POP TEAM EPIC” season 2, was broadcast from midnight of October 8, 2022. Two famous tag from “Full Metal Alchemist” appeared on the first part of the anime, then another famous pair from “Brave series” and own TV programs appeared on the second part. Opening theme song for this season was the animation movie, in contrast from live-action movie broadcast on Sunday mornings with Aoi Shouta-san appearing in real appearance. However, the song “PSYCHO:LOGY” itself is sung by Aoi Shouta himself, and many comments, including “Aoi Shota no matter what”, “I knew Aoi Shota will come”, and “We have too much of Aoi Shota already”, mentioned Aoi Shota. Moreover, several comments mentioned the animation in psychedelic patterns and many fans described it as “I almost passed away”, “it is the another form of nightmare”, and “this is what I see when feeling sick”. In episode 2, the first part was played by Park Romi (Popuko) and Kugimiya Rie (Pipimi). These actresses are well known for Elric brothers from “Full Metal Alchemist” and the internet went viral with comments including, “Full Metal Alchemist tag of Park Romi and Kugimiya Rie”, “This is the Elric brothers”, “This anime turned into Full Metal Alchemist” and “they are Ed and Al of Full Metal Alchemist”. The next part was played by Hiyama Nobuyuki (Popuko) and Morikawa Toshiyuki (Pipimi). This combination are well known for their own show called “Morikawa Toshiyuki and Hiyama Nobuyuki’s Omaera no Tamedaro!” and “Brave series” with Hayami Shou. The comments mentioned them included, “They are Omaera no Tamedaro! Pair”, ‘the phrase “Omaera no taedaro” (it was done all for you)’, “I only could think of Omaera no tamedaro”, “this is clearly the Brave series”, “they all come from Brave series” and “this is the another form of Brave series broadcast on 1990’s”. Furthermore, Obari Masami, the leading figure from robot animation field, participated as “corner director and supervisor”. The robot animation section directed by Sunrise was the major point to see in the episode. It was announced that Hanzawa from the anime "Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa" (Broadcast/ Streaming on Netflix in October 2022) will be handled by Aoi Shouta. The key visual has been released together with this announcement. "Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa" is based on the spin-off manga of "Detective Conan" by Aoyama Gosho (Original Idea) and Kanba Mayuko that is currently being serialized on "Shonen Sunday S" since 2017. The main protagonist is the well-know black tights "culprit" from the main work. It is a criminal comedy that depicts the daily life of the culprit Hanzawa (provisional) with a pure evil mind in the black tights at the crime city, Beika city. The anime adaptation of this was announced together with "Detective Conan: Zero's Tea Time" in conjunction of the project to commemorate the 100 volumes of the main work. The completed key visual was released. Along with the catchphrase of "The main protagonist is the culprit", the key visual feature Hanzawa at the center with Pometaro, Mouri Ran, Haibara Ai, and Mouri Kogoro behind him. Also, a zoom-in on Edogawa Conan and Professor Agasa can be seen behind the street of Beika city, where an explosion happened. The main cast has also been announced. The voice of Hanzawa is handled by Aoi Shouta. Do look forward to his voice acting on "Hanzawa" that is shrouded with mystery. Also, the director Daichi Akitaro, known for TV anime "Tonkatsu DJ Agetaro", commented "Since it has been a while since I worked on a comedy manga, I quite fired up... huh? The main protagonist is the culprit from Conan? That black tights figure? What a scary comedy, wait, this is laughable, and it's quite cute, surprisingly it's quite heartful. Despite his being a culprit. The main theme might be out of your expectation. Please do look forward to it♪". Anime "Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa" will start broadcast on TV from October 2022, and the worldwide exclusive streaming will also be held on Netflix.
