New Illustrative Jackets Revealed for “My Hero Academia: You’re Next” Blu-ray & DVD! Original Artwork for Bonus Visuals Also Unveiled
The Blu-ray & DVD of "My Hero Academia: You're Next" is set for release on February 19, 2025. Newly illustrated jackets for the Plus Ultra Edition, packed with bonus content, and original artwork for the exclusive bonus visuals for purchases from TOHO animation STORE and other retailers have been unveiled.
"My Hero Academia," a.k.a. "MHA," is a superhero action manga by Horikoshi Kohei that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for 10 years and concluded in August 2024. Set in a world where people with superhuman abilities called Quirks are commonplace, the story follows Midoriya Izuku, a boy without a Quirk, as he strives to become a hero and protect society from villains who abuse their quirks. He attends U.A. High School, a prestigious institution for young heroes, where he trains alongside his classmates.
The manga has a cumulative worldwide circulation of over 100 million copies, with the latest volume being the 41st. The anime series produced by Bones aired its 7th season in 2024, and the highly anticipated FINAL SEASON is set to air in 2025. "My Hero Academia: You're Next" was released in theaters in the summer and was a huge success, becoming the highest-grossing film in the series with 2.48 million moviegoers and a box office of 3.55 billion JPY.
The newly illustrated jackets for the bonus-filled Plus Ultra Edition of "My Hero Academia: You're Next" Blu-ray & DVD have been revealed.
The jacket, illustrated by Umakoshi Yoshihiko, the character designer for the "My Hero Academia" anime, features Midoriya Izuku, Bakugo Katsuki, and Todoroki Shoto, along with Giulio Gandini and Anna Scervino, original characters who made their debut in the film and have gained immense popularity among fans.
Additionally, original artwork for the bonus for different retailers and bundle package have also been unveiled. These exclusive visuals, each with its own unique charm, will be available at TOHO animation STORE, Animate, Amazon, Rakuten, and Bones Store.
The finished colored versions of these artworks will be used for the respective items. Furthermore, the Bones Store will offer a mini card featuring a replica of Umakoshi Yoshihiko's illustration as a bonus item. Along with the retailer bonus of a replica mini illustration card, this lineup of visuals is sure to excite "My Hero Academia" fans.
The Blu-ray & DVD of "My Hero Academia: You're Next" will be released on February 19, 2025, in both Plus Ultra Edition with abundant bonus content and Standard Edition with only the copy of the movie.

Release of the first Blu-ray BOX of the anime "Kodomo no Omocha" has been decided. The "Elementary School edition" includes episodes from 1 to 51 will be released in Jul. 22, 2020, and the "Junior High School edition"includes episodes 52 to 102 will be released on Sep. 30th. "Kodomo no Omocha" is a TV anime series that broadcast in 1996-1998, based on Obana Miho's manga with the same title. Kurana Sana, who is active in the entertainment world despite being a young child, had a problem with Hayama Akito, the problem child from the same class. However, while understanding why Hayama being cruel, the distance between them gradually decreasing... In Blu-ray BOX, all 102 episodes of the TV anime series are divided into "Elementary School version" and "Junior High School version". It is a large volume that exceeds about 10 hours per sheet, and it's greatthat a special booklet is included. The "Kodomo no Omocha" Blu-ray BOX Elementary School will be released on Jul. 22, and the Junior High School Blu-ray BOX will be released on Sep. 30. The price is 26,000 JPY (excluding tax). “July 5 is Bikini Day”, the special event at ABEMA to pick up swimsuit scenes from “Gintama”, “A Certain Scientific Railgun”, “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!”, and “Nonnon Biyori”, is currently held at “ABEMA video”.
