Sanrio's Hello Kitty will be celebrating her birthday on November 1, and to commemorate the occasion, the company has decided to release limited edition goods designed in collaboration with world-renowned pâtisserie Pierre Hermé, which will be sold at Sanrio-operated stores and other stores from October 20, 2021. Pierre Hermé is a famous patissier who is known as the "Picasso of the pastry world." He holds an annual "Macaron Day" to raise money for children with intractable diseases, and in 2014, Hello Kitty became his first ambassador. And with her ambassadorship again in 2021, Hermé proposed to celebrate Hello Kitty's birthday. Inspired by Hermé's signature sweet "Ispahan", Kitty was drawn wearing a dress that expressed the elegance of rose and the freshness of raspberry. The result is a cute macaroon with Kitty on top of it. In addition to the mascot holders of Hello Kitty and her twin sister Hello Mimi, the lineup of goods includes bags and blankets that are easy to use on a daily basis, as well as accessory cases and cosmetic baskets that will make you feel gorgeous just by leaving them on your desk. The secret figure mascots are based on Pierre Hermé Paris's popular sweets, and come in a blind box so you can't tell which design you'll get. You can buy just one of these figure mascots or display all of them together. If you buy a box, you can get the complete set. The online store will sell a maximum of eight per person. Also available is the limited edition "Hello Kitty Pierre Hermé Birthday Doll 2021". It will go on sale on October 20.
