"Pretty Boy Detective Club" is based on the popular novel series "Pretty Boy Series" by Nishio Ishin, published by Kodansha Taiga.
Set at Yubiwa Academy Middle School, the story centers on the Pretty Boy Detective Club, a mysterious group that is rumored to unofficially solve problems within the school on a non-profit basis.
The general director is Shinbo Akiyuki, who has worked on the "Monogatari" series, and the animation will be produced by Shaft. The cast members include Murase Ayumu as Sotoin Manabu, Ban Taito as Sakiguchi Nagahiro, Masuda Toshiki as Fukuroi Mitsuru, Yano Shogo as Ashikaga Hyota, and Sato Gen as Yubiwa Sosaku.
