‘“Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon – The Lover of Princess Kaguya” Musical’ premiered on September 3. Photos from the rehearsal, and a short commentary from the actors from before the premiere, were released.

‘“Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon – The Lover of Princess Kaguya” Musical’ will be performed from September 3 to September 12 at the The Galaxy Theatre in Tennnozu. The musical is based on “The Lover of Princess Kaguya” story, highly popular among the fans of the original manga, with screenplay and production by Miura Kaori.

The released brief commentaries were made by the cast performers Tanaka Riko (Sailor Moon / Tsukino Usagi), MARISA (Luna’s Human Form), Sakurai Yune (Luna’s Cat Form), and Sorahane Riku (Tuxedo Mask / Mamoru Chiba), in which they express on their enthusiasm towards the musical opening.

Furthermore the final day of the musical will be live-streamed at the platform Streaming+. The performance will also be recorded and made available overseas at a later date at GLOBE CODING.

After the 1-year postponement I’m really happy that the musical finally got to premiere.
Alongside the new 2021 team, my goal is to deliver a touching performance to the audiences.
I’ll do my best until the very end, without forgetting the feelings of gratitude towards all the staff and fans who supported and cheered for this musical!

I think that it’s a miracle that we managed to reopen the play given the current situation in Japan, where everyone is facing a lot of anxiety and many other plays were shut down. However it is exactly because this miracle happened now at this time, we were able to prepare a musical we are proud of presenting to people. The Sailor Guardians are always standing by us, no matter what. Even if it is through screens, I’m sure they will make people feel better. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the stage, and will do my best until the final day.

I’m very happy we were able to reach the opening day. The musical’s plot centers around the theme of standing up against evil to protect the world, and of course loved ones. It will definitely warm up the heart’s of people who are feeling worn out!

I am truly delighted by the fact that we are finally premiering. I’m grateful for everyone’s hard work during the preparation.
We put a lot of effort in the rehearsal in order to deliver a fun and memorable experience for the audiences. I will pour my heart soul into the performance to make it a musical that people fall in love with!
