“Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna”, released in Japan in February 2020, has been released in all the regions of the Mainland China from October 30. After 5 days of its release, it was recorded that it was screened about 325,000 times with a total audience of 2.45 million people in all the regions of China.
“Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna” is the 20th anniversary work of “Digimon Adventure” series, which was broadcast in 1999, that depicts the growth and bond of the “Chosen Children” with their partner digimon, including Yagami Taichi with Agumon.
This work was recorded to have been screened about 325,000 times with a total audience of 2.45 million people in all the regions of China after 5 days since its release. The box office revenue has exceeded 1.2 billion JPY, and it is currently (as of November 3, 2020) the highest Japanese movie’s box office revenue in China in 2020.
As China’s theatres have restricted the number of screenings due to Covid-19, it is predicted that the box office revenue will achieve 1.5 billion JPY by end of this week, and an overall of 200 million CNY (approximately 2 billion JPY) after the screening. The box office revenue’s result is sufficient to be ranked in the top 5 in terms of Japanese movie released in China, so do look out for its future achievement.
