The first “Zoids” TV anime “Zoids: Chaotic Century” will be rerun on regular TV from April 3, 2023. In addition, a nationwide traveling exhibition “ZOIDS Exhibition” will be held to commemorate the 40th anniversary, starting in Umeda, Osaka on May 26, 2023.

The “Zoids” series is a large-scale content series that has been developed by Takara Tomy as an original toy IP since 1983. The series features “mechanical life forms” based on dinosaurs and animals.

In 2018, the latest in the series, “Zoids Wild,” was developed for the first time after a 12 year break. In order to evolve into a new generation of Zoids while maintaining its high level of perfection as a toy, the development team from the first Zoids (1983-) and second Zoids (1999-) have been passing on the techniques and ideas they have cultivated to younger members, while incorporating new perspectives brought by the younger generation.

The first TV animation “Zoids: Chaotic Century,” which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2023, will be rerun on regular TV on TOKYO MX from April 3, 2012.

Planet Zi is home to the superior metal life form Zoids, and the main character, Van Flyheight, is a Zoids lover born and raised on this planet. One day, he meets Zeke, an Organoid with the power to combine with Zoids, and a mysterious girl, Fiona Elisia Linette, in the ruins of an ancient human settlement. Using his beloved Shield Liger, which was revived by Zeke’s power, he sets out on a journey to find Fiona’s past, which she has lost her memory of.

In addition, the “ZOIDS Exhibition,” a nationwide traveling exhibition looking back on 40 years of history, will be held starting on May 26, 2023, at the Umeda Loft in Osaka.
In addition to popular kits from past generations and three-dimensional exhibits such as a diorama corner, materials from past anime series will also be on display, making this a memorial event for fans of all generations from the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa.

Anime “Zoids: Chaotic Century” will be rerun every 7:00 pm, Monday on TOKYO MX from April 3, 2012.
