The “Collection of Original Drawings and Setting Documents” for the television anime “Odd Taxi” will be released for sale on April 1st, 2022 by “Tokyo News Tsushinsha”.
“Odd Taxi” started its broadcast in April 2021. With its dark worldview, pop visuals, quirky characters, and dramatic storyline, it was highly acclaimed and was nominated for a total of 11 awards at the “Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022”.
The “Odd Taxi Original Drawings and Setting Documents Collection” will be released along with the movie “Odd Taxi in the Woods” on April 1st. In addition to the original drawings of all 13 episodes, storyboards of famous scenes and color settings will also be available for the first time. The detailed work of the animators and director Kinoshita Baku’s special directing are compiled in one volume.
It also features a conversation between director Kinoshita and the production team, as well as a brand new interview with screenwriter Konomoto Kazuya, logo designer Uesugi Toshiaki, and others. The book is a must-see for fans and is full of spoilers from the creators’ point of view revealing previously unrevealed aspects of this work, such as its innovative main visual, strategic PR activities, and collaborative goods.
Restored original paper and original envelope as a set will come with the purchase if purchased from Nao TOKYO NEWS magazine (honto). The price is 3000 JPY including tax.
